KUALA LUMPUR (June 20): Felda Investment Corp Sdn Bhd (FIC), a unit of the government-owned Federal Land Development Authority (Felda), has ceased to be a substantial shareholder in Barakah Offshore Petroleum Bhd.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Barakah said FIC had on Monday disposed of 4.5 million shares on the open market and ceased to be a substantial shareholder.
FIC first emerged as a substantial shareholder in Barakah in November 2014 with a 9.73% interest or 73.5 million shares in the oil and gas services provider.
Barakah closed 0.5 sen or 2.86% lower at 17 sen, with 18.4 million shares traded, giving it a market capitalisation of RM140.5 million.
