Recent 25/09 AGM approved:

Special Business Ordinary Resolution 11 - Proposed Share Buy-Back by the Company
The Ordinary Resolution, if passed, will empower the Company to purchase and/or
hold up to ten percent (10%) of the total number of shares issued of the Company.
This authority will, unless revoked or varied by the Company at a general meeting,
expire at the next Annual General Meeting. For further information on the Proposed
Share Buy-Back, please refer to the Share Buy-Back Statement dated 24 August 2018
accompanying the 2018 Annual Report.




The Proposed Share Buy-Back

The Company may be able to stabilise the supply and demand of the ordinary shares of
Hai-O (“Hai-O Shares”) in the open market of Bursa Securities thereby supporting its
fundamental value.

The earnings per share of the Group will be strengthened if the shares purchased are cancelled
which in turn will have a positive impact on the Company’s share price.

If the Hai-O Shares so purchased by the Company are held as treasury shares, the Company
may have the opportunity to distribute those shares as share dividends, thus benefiting the
shareholders. The treasury shares may also be re-sold in the open market of Bursa Securities at a price higher than the purchase price, thereby realising a potential gain for Hai-O without affecting the Company’s issued share capital

Hai-O may be able to use its financial resources where there is no immediate use for them.




This is something interesting to me, the management are working to reducing the share base to protecting the interest of the company and shareholders. Let's see wait and see how well this will work out.

Anything drop beyond twenty percent then the bottom will very hard to estimate...it's about psychology more than fundamental ....

If you're afraid, then just sell. HaiO will not go bankrupt bcos of you selling its shares. This company has lived longer than you do. It had gone through few economic downturn.

Nevertheless, despite the slightly drop in recent quarterly earnings, the fundamental of the company still resilient. It still has strong cash flow and excellent management team, unlike some pariah companies.
