sephiroth : meaning to say that the special dividend is another 4.448 sen/ share or 1.448 sen per share(as the 3 sen per share already paid)

chineooi, sorry for my mistake, if they consider the special final div as distribution to shareholders, then 1.448 sen, no worries, salcon still cash rich with 56.5 sen per share n little borrowings of 34.356m or 5.6 sen per share

normally salcon give 1-1.5 sen as normal final div, maybe specialfinal div given only 1 to 1.5 sen

Technically, it is not looking good for SALCON as its 20-Day Moving Average is sloping downward and its price action is below the Moving Average line. The recent downward movement in price has brought us to the technically important level of 0.86. Failure to find support at this level may accentuate the bearish move. The indicator analysis on RSI is not exhibiting any extreme condition. Watch out for the 30% and 70% levels which indicate any oversold and overbought condition respectively.

@OCBC is on a very aggressive buying mood ...... and as I was not aware of any unfavourable issues cropping up on this gem , I guess I will have to trust big fund share holder instinct and swim along side with them.......

If a bearish breakout is accompanied by high volume, this indicates the unwillingness of a large pool of traders to hold on to the stock as selling pressure mounts at the support level. This bearish breakout of SALCON was accompanied by a lower than average volume which may give a glimmer of hope, however one has to be monitor carefully the price action in the coming sessions.

salcon total cash 376.441m/ total shares as at today 674.467m
= 55.8 sen per share

minimal borrowings 33.488m or 4.96 sen per share

Distributed special dividend 20.2m out of 30m to shareholders, balance 9.8m (1.44 sen)to be distributed later

Assets classified as held for sale left only 130.729m(remaining 4 china companies)

the disposal of 2 china companies earlier this year = substantial portion of the total disposal consideration
