Bonus issue don't change anything mah....give div cash lesser.
We need more liquidity for this Stockton go up. Fund mgr don't like low liquidity stocks as they can't sell fast and stuck there, they won't like

For kesm I want bonus issue. Div so pathetic low, like giving to pengemis charity. Look at the div yields, must well safe it lab, why waste time and effort to trouble registrars

The Ex-date for bonus issue can be even 1 day later than the ex-date for dividend. Then the company will not need to pay out extra cash for dividend. Am I correct?

Yes. I agree directors are decent persons. But their fundamental problem is low circulation in shares. They need to do bonus or split to help creating more values to shareholders.
I am thankful for that and I buy more today.

it is between raising the share price quickly thru a bonus and split compare with slowly & steadily raising the share price thru fundamental value creation over longer term mah...!!

bonus issue have not bring any return to shareholder. The only effect is only the liquidity of the shares. Most of the director doesn't like the fund manager come goreng their shares and play short term then run. Hence, they propose some dividend 4.5 cent which is 50% more than last year. If you are feel confident with the company, you can use the dividend to buy the shares again. So i prefer to hold the shares and wait for new high. time will reflect who is right or wrong.

It's a factory.

Factories usually have higher dividends than others because their needs are not so high.
