Good company. Queuing at RM2.80 if lucky. Not probable, but not impossible either.

Collected at 2.80, which is similar to early 2014 PE, and higher dividend. Might go down much further, but it is a reasonable buy. Worthwhile to look into Gtronic also, 8% drop today.

Apple's gonna announce their worst quarter in recent years today. Has Inari's price been reflected on this or will it tumble again tomorrow...

There was this chap (yipgu something .... can't remember fully) who said that whenever this stock is going down, those who want it down will make a lot of noise but keep quiet when it's going up. But likewise, I want to say that those who are bull in this stock will just keep quiet & don't dare to make a noise when its price is going down; just pot calling the kettle black. Keep an open mind whether price is up or down. Price down is not really a bad thing; you can think as potential to buy it cheaper like some smart investors here who is cheering away. All the best!

@buncho89, if Apple's sales decline, someone else has to benefit. Samsung? Xiaomi? Avago supplies to these brands too.

kevin5059, very bad? Justification?

Look,
Globetronics earnings down 78.5%
http://www.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/globetronicss-1q-net-profit-plunges-785-lower-demand

Unisem's earnings up 47.4%
http://www.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/unisems-1q-net-profit-474-helped-improved-margin

Both same quarter, but starkly different set of results. Different product mix. Unisem's outlook going forward, POSITIVE.

For Malaysia's technology/semiconductor sector, you can't lump altogether. They are different. Inari has already said that this quarter will be flattish before picking up in the 2nd half of the year. That's what Avago said too.

Regardless of how Apple report tonight, Avago, and by extension Inari, will still be in good shape this year.

Posted by loveygramps > 2016-04-26 16:15 | Report Abuse

@derektan you are right. However, with volatility, stocks with stronger yield may be preferred. The market is dumping today, will it continue tomorrow? Inari is the highest valued among its peers, and if I take a 3.5% yield, it still has room to go down to 2.50+.

loveygramps, valuation in terms of dividend yield? PE more like it. Forward PE is at 12 right now. Globetronics is 19. Which is higher. If you looking for yield of 3.5%, I suggest you put your money in FD. Higher yield there.

Growth stock with 2 to 3% dy is very good.

which screen r u looking at?

Posted by loveygramps > 2016-04-26 16:27 | Report Abuse

@derektan, does market look at forward PE in times of volatility? A quick check on screen tells me Inari is 16.4x trailing DY 3.2%, Gtronic 15.4x DY 5.9%, UNISEM 10.3x DY4.6%, MPI 8.32x DY 2.8%. Stocks with higher yield will be more cushioned against sell-offs. Case in point small caps of property counters (with strong business fundamentals + high forward PE), despite the market plunging today, they are relatively unchanged since the sell off last year, supported by the good yield.

Volatility is one thing. Valuation is another. Of course, in times of volatility, irrational pricing sets in.

If you are rational, in times of volatility, you should hold cash instead of yield.

But your statement that Inari is 'highest valued' is flawed because you are taking yield as a valuation factor.

Again, your quick check numbers are flawed.

Posted by loveygramps > 2016-04-26 16:35 | Report Abuse

@derektan, I am taking T4Q PE. Doesn't the market flock to safety in period of volatility? In such case doesn't yield present itself as a key factor together with historical PE? Or do you think the market will value based on forward PE? Also, there is nothing flawed about my numbers, perhaps there are discrepancies among trading accounts, but the numbers should be similar.

Inari trading at monthly and weekly support. Monthly and weekly trends up while daily is down

Posted by rover618 > 2016-04-26 21:02 | Report Abuse

In my opinion the monthly and weekly trends are more robust than the daily as long term players/ funds/ EPF play the long term trends while retailers play the short term daily/ intraday trends.

Posted by loveygramps > 2016-04-26 21:20 | Report Abuse

@rover618 funds can exit just as quick to hold cash, especially during such volatility like 1MDB fiascos. In any other week long irrational correction, they may hold and stay put, or even top up their holdings. But with such big news? I doubt. This is only my opinion. If you have friends in funds, do check with them if this is true.
