内政部长丹斯里慕尤丁指出，国内有142万9196名理应拥有大马卡的公民至今尚未拥有大马卡。

他指出，13岁至17岁者有4万5588人、18岁至80岁者有97万377人、81岁至90岁有11万537人，而91岁以上者则有30万2664人。

“（没有大马卡）理由众多，有些是忘记，有些则是居住遥远，但这些都不是理由，大马公民必须拥有大马卡。”


“我也不知道这些人如何在没有大马卡的情况下生活，他们要如何申请护照？尤其一些老人家也没有大马卡，我们多超过百个国民登记局分布全部，还有流动巴士，希望人们关注此事。”

他续说，尚未更新大马卡资料的国民则有2296万5443人。

慕尤丁促请尚未有大马卡的国人尽快向邻近的国民登记局办理大马卡。

KUALA LUMPUR: RHB research expects the improvement in sentiment over Datasonic Bhd to continue with an expected recovery in FY20.

According to the research house, Datasonic has seen a return in investor interest after obtaining a constract extension for providing preventive maintenance services on card personalisation centres at the National Registration Department (NRD).

"The extension was awarded by the Home Affairs Ministry for two years (1 Jun 2019 to 31 May 2021) and is valued at MYR28.79m (or MYR14.39m pa). 

"The fact that it secured a contract extension demonstrates its competence in providing such services to the Government," said RHB.

The group's share price has risen 46.6% since early June.

Datasonic's total outstanding orberbook now stands at RM772mil which is expected to anchor its earnings recovery in FY20, said RHB.

The resumption of MyKad orders in 4QFY19 should also continue in the upcoming quarter as the NRD's investory level is currently low at two million pieces.

Meanwhile, more announcements on government-related solutions contracts are expected over the next one to two months. 

"As such, its orderbook may improve further with potential job wins such as Public Key Directory- (PKD) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)-related solutions. 

"Management remains optimistic on the upcoming government-related project bids or requests-for proposal related to foreign workers, immigration system upgrades, e-visas as well as the facial recognition system," said RHB

The research house maintained its buy call on Datasonic with a higher target price of 77 sen from 65 sen previously.

PUTRAJAYA: About 1.4 million Malaysians aged over 12 years and having birth certificates still do not have identity cards, said Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pix).

“They do not have a MyKad even though they are over 12 years old and are supposed to have one. I urge anyone (Malaysian citizen) who does not have an identity card to get it as soon as possible because it is an important document,” he said.

Based on the National Registration Department (NRD)’s statistics, of the 1.4 million, 45.588 people are 13-17 years old, 970,377 (18-80 years old), 110,537 (81-90 years old) and 302,694 (91 years and above).

“There are various factors why they don’t possess MyKads, among them are living in the interior, forgetting and having ignorant parents,” he told reporters after the National Registration Day celebration at the NRD here today.

According to Muhyiddin, there are currently 22 million MyKad holders.

National Registration Department director-general Datuk Ruslin Jusoh in his speech at the event said NRD would introduce online applications for several services next year.

They include applications for birth certificates, retrieval of birth certificates, 12-year-old MyKad applications, retrieval of MyKads, and marriage registrations for non-Muslims, he said.

“For these applications, applicants need only be present to submit proof of the original documents before collecting the documents they had applied for, he said.

Starting this year, he said the NRD had implemented a system for the automatic registration of deaths via an online integration programme with the police whereby every death reported in police stations in Peninsular Malaysia would be automatically recorded in the NRD system.

“MyKad replacement applications can now also be done online without having to be present at the NRD office. Applicants only need to go to the NRD office to collect the MyKad,” he said.

Muhyiddin in his speech earlier said the Election Commission (EC) and the NRD have set up a special task force to ensure the automatic implementation of voter registration scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2021, went smoothly.

He urged the EC and NRD hold massive campaigns, especially with regard to updating or changing addresses of citizens who have changed their place of residence.

“This will enable those who are 18 years old and eligible to vote to be automatically enrolled in the voting district based on the latest address in the NRD database,“ he said. — Bernama

MALAYSIA’S SHARED PROSPERITY VISION 2030 (SPV 2030) IN LINE WITH THE 2030 AGENDA FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (SDG 2030)

The launching of Malaysia's new development blueprint of Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 (SPV 2030) by YAB Prime Minister which aims to develop a fair and equitable distribution of economic development at all levels by 2030, reflected the commitment by Malaysia in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDG 2030).
Indeed, the principles of SDG 2030 had already been implemented under the Eleventh Malaysia Plan (2016-2020) – which depicted the Malaysian people as the centrepiece of all development efforts in ensuring that no section of society is left behind in achieving sustainable development.
Thus SDG 2030 will continue to be embedded into this Malaysia’s latest long-term plan of the SPV 2030, which will be operationalised through the Twelfth Malaysia Plan (2021-2025), and the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (2026-2030).
The launching of this SPV 2030 therefore reaffirms Malaysia’s continued commitment in implementing SDG 2030 in tandem with the next chapter of development towards becoming a competitive and inclusive high income nation, emphasising a people centric approach as one of the most vital elements towards pursuing sustainable economic growth.

Year 2020 marks the end of Vision 2020 and the Eleventh Malaysia Plan, 2016-2020 period. As a continuation, a post-2020 development plan with a clear strategic direction will be formulated to set the way forward for national development agenda along with the implementation framework over the next decade. This is to ensure an inclusive and meaningful socioeconomic development towards a more prosperous society.
The Twelfth Malaysia Plan (12MP) will be aligned with the shared prosperity initiative encompassing three dimensions, namely economic empowerment, environmental sustainability and social re-engineering.
The economic empowerment dimension will include new sources of growth, including Industrial Revolution 4.0, digital economy, aerospace industry, integrated regional development as well as growth enablers such as sustainable energy sources and infrastructure connectivity.
