It’s a very racist government decision. It’s unbelievable that government has such direct interference in capital market. Voting for PH hoping things change. It guess that same skin color afterall.
Will Syek Mokhtar come into place with big discount take offer price to safe LTAT debt laden in the book? That will make opposite party happy as their effort to protect the preserve land come into fruition.
So the consensus is it will open limit down assuming the deal is off
Buyer KLK is willing to pay $1.55
If the deal is off, it's the seller pulling out.
Seller owns 68%.
So the seller who owns 68% refuses a $1.55 offer, and would rather see their 68% holding go limit down?
Why?
Much has been said of the political pressure. This is odd - the former education minister + some opposition MPs raised objections - but these weren't very convincing (what's the issue with 30% bumi policy when LTAT will still own 35% of BPlant after MGO). Further, Mat Hassan explained and defended the matter rather convincingly.
IF, a big IF, it isn't political pressure, this means the seller is pulling out for commercial reasons. Means they think they can have a better deal, a better structure or something like that.
The FMT news said it all. These ultra hypocrites shoot without understanding the issue. Now play innocent. Now asking for actions to be taken against those irresponsible people responsible for the mismanagement of the company.
On the other hand, it also shows PN's opposition did not gain traction, and if there's one thing honest he said, he said it was unexpected. So if this is political, why is PMX doing it?
brianklc, if you understand the modus operandi of an insider, they always buy using trusted retail third party names or friendly parties and always keeping it under 5% stake. This way they don't need to announce anything and fly under the radar or the regulators.
I am hoping someone smart in public forum throws some insight, maybe. We can consider whether we are buyers if this indeed opens limit down, even if you already have shares. We can be buyers, if LTAT has good reason to reject KLK's offer, other than policitcal will - this means LTAT will get a better deal somewhere, whether it is extended to BPlant, and its minorities to be seen
brianklc, those are not friendly parties but related parties to KLK. Insiders will use random names/accounts like ah kow, ah chong, ahmad, muthu, ali, ah moi, samy, etc to buy. Totally not related and cannot be linked to the insiders unless one or more of them confess or whistle blow. That is why insider trading is so hard to prosecute.
If you only want to buy anything below 50 sen, you may not getting any. 70 sen is to build foundation, 60 sen may be quite safe, 50 sen is very safe, 40 sen is a bargain, 30 sen is sailang price. Up to your risk appetite.
1) Extend the deal for another 3 months - 6 month, then everybody will forgot it d 2) Loop in KWSP or PNB as the joint offeror, so Bumiputra won't feel that their share has been diluted 3) KLK reduce the acquistion stake first (i.e. from 33% reduce to 25%), then after half year, BPlant facing financial problem, and do private placement (i.e. additional 10%-20% share) to KLK, or right issue at high price, whereby LTAT cannot subscribe, then KLK will absorb all the right issue.
First PMX bully an Indian teenager for asking about meritocracy in uni! Now PMX bully us Bplant shareholders! I say Enough Is Enough! This is the last straw! No more vote for PMX and PH in GE16! Teach them a lesson they never forget
one can only blame on own greed, instead of faulting others...happy to buy back bplant at Rahmah price... thanks PHBN on making bplant affordable again...
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
