KUALA LUMPUR: Shahul Hamid Mohd Ismail, the managing director and chief executive officer of Reach Energy Bhd
, sold another big block of shares in the company in an off-market transaction.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia today revealed that Shahul's Reach Energy Holdings Sdn Bhd (REH) has disposed 62.8 million shares for RM13.5mil, or about 21.5 sen a shares.

Reach need oil price above USD75 and production above 5,000 barrels day to breakeven. Fixed cost and interest cost on loan is very high. No relieve in sight unless a right issue is done to settles the loan. Borrowing from banks is impossible looking at Reach cashflow now.

dont think will be PN17, but corporate exercise has to be done to repay debt.. right issue only raise small money so not effective.. most likely go for refinance like armada did with higher interest to be paid

the disposal from ceo might lead to something either merger or take over

asset ratio over debt not high look attractive but main problem it cannot produce many oil as promised since 2-3 years back to hit 5k bbl, even 3k seems very hard
