Only Vs industry can match it

Both amongst the fastest recovered Ems counters .

While, others ems has just start consolidated with a mild upward.
Only thing is , salute need a convincingly quarter before it can break 0.82

Vsi has stronger muscles to explode for more.
Skpres catching up after vsi delivered nice set of 2 continuing quarter witg strong growth of 34%.

If you visit Salutica's webpage, the focus and visuals is on their FOBO TPMS product which was self developed by their team. Management guides that the FOBO range has high margins but at present represents a small percentage of annual revenue so this is something for the future. This point highlights that Salutica is a forward looking technology gem which is rare in Malaysia.

After the IPO in 2016 institutional funds bought heavily into the stock with valuations of 20x PE on the growth story with bluetooth/jaybird/plantronics/neonode airbars. The launch of the previous Jaybird earbuds encountered connectivity issues with the Master/Slave modules which resulted in the company embarking on a re-engineering effort which has resulted in this Bluetooth 5.0 in the latest Vistas which will be reflected in the next 2 sets of results. This know how with Bluetooth 5.0 will result in future contracts for the company.

Technology companies and EMS are probably the only bright spots for the Malaysian economy and Bursa at present as they are sort of insulated from the trade war. Looking at the share price in the last few weeks with high volumes on up days and lower volumes on down days and with only the AM Bank piece in the market, it strongly points to funds accumulating the stock. (See Friday 27th Sep when Bursa was in a sea of red)

When the insiders and funds have finished accumulating the stock, other research reports will appear. Other than the AM Bank piece, there is nothing written in the press and business publications. The stock had a false breakout from 0.675 a week ago...corrected and stage a recovery on Friday with strong volumes. When the real breakout happens the stock will move to a new level.

1). Salutica is poised to make a comeback in FY20. The company’s major client, Customer A, has recently released its third generation of true wireless earbuds with an upgraded Bluetooth chipset developed by Salutica, in collaboration with a Netherlands company. The new Bluetooth chipset promised to rectify the connectivity issue which has plagued the previous 2 models.

2). Top technology reviewers like TechRadar, WIRED, Android Central and CNET have also acknowledged the improvements in the new earbuds, giving it a reputable rating of 4 to 4.5 stars. Feedback indicated that the new earbuds surpassed market-leading brands from the US and Denmark in its size (compact), battery life (longer) and audio quality (better).

3). We foresee Customer A making up lost ground with the new earbuds that allow L/R simultaneous connection to the audio source for a more stable connection. Meanwhile, the US and Denmark rivals are still using conventional master/slave connection that relies on cross-head Bluetooth transmission, which is prone to connection drops. Moreover, Customer A’s earbuds run on Bluetooth 5.0, while its rivals are still on Bluetooth 4.0.

4). In addition, the company has secured a job to produce 4 models of computer mouse for Customer A. This job is passed on to Salutica from Suzhou, China in order to avoid US tariffs. The first model has commenced production in July 2019 while the remaining 3 are slated to begin production in 2QFY20. The volume for mouse production is 7x larger than that for headset.

5). We envisage the non-seasonality of everyday mouse to cushion the off-season dips of headset production, particularly in 3Q and 4Q. This will help to the company avoid negative surprises. We forecast sales from mouse production to contribute 46% of the group’s revenue in FY20F while headset contributes 48%.

Salute Financial Review :
Last Aug2019 Release Qtr ( Financial Qtr June30,2019) - Net Loss (RM813,000)
Last Preceding Release Qtr Nov2018 ( Financial Qtr Sept 30, 2018) - Net Profit (RM2,335,000)

Although Salute has started commercializing products relocated from China by customers. They expect to see further growth in this area. Sales for their in-house brand FOBO tire pressure monitoring system (“tpms”) continues to grow although contribution to the total revenue for the Group is still low.
This means that the coming Qtr to be release in next month Nov 2019 , the expected Profit will still be low.

Salute has been on a new high at RM0.865, there will be some price correction in the near future spiral downwards towards Nov 2019 in anticipation of a lesser favourable profit.

The continuous focus to innovate FOBO tpms have seen the launch of FOBO Midget, which is branded as FOBO Bike 2 in the market, with even smaller sensors that its predecessor and running on Bluetooth 5.0 technology. This will propagate into FOBO Tire Midget when it’s launched tentatively in next quarter.

Based on the above, the future for Salute is still very promising but it needs to get over the Nov month, and thereafter , Salute future will be favourable.

Those bought cheap can still hold, as the TP still RM1.
Those who take profit at RM0.865, congratulations
It is important to calculate the risk/reward as the recent upward movement has pushed the price to be quite far from the support level of RM0.725.

Those intent to buy may wait for further price correction, and then enter.
We all like to buy low, and sell high, to maximize our profit.
