These directions from authorityBNM will cannot take effect too long. Banks & other financial institutions, very much entrust on CCRIS/CTOS as their major/primary credit checking. Without the checking, banks loan approval (especially)in hundreds of millions, will be afflicted/troubled. Additionally the chances of loans approved to become Non Performing Loans (NPL)is very huge/soaring.
Don't think banks and other financial institutions willing to take the risk.

The suspension is not to have ctos to retrieve CCRIS report. Bank has plenty of way to retrieve CCRIS report through their existing gateqay

BNM won't be so crazy and dumb to allow giving loans without credit checks. Doing that would kill the country really fast. Due to covid IL has been soaring.

CTOs never had access to CCRIS from the beginning. The licence/prerogative to have a CCRIS platform, restrained by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

Good thing about ctos is that ctos provides more type of info and longer history records. Ctos and ccris are different. No matter how, this suspension would not affect bank
