Shahizat: Kuasa Melayu 'bagai telur di hujung tanduk'

Ketua Wanita Umno Malaysia Datuk Seri Shahrizat Jalil menegaskan Umno berdepan dengan cabaran getir untuk menjaga kuasa Melayu yang dianggapnya "bagai telur dihujung tanduk" selepas pilihan raya umum 2008.

Tegas bekas menteri kabinet itu, jika parti itu tidak bertindak mulai sekarang, kuasa Melayu "akan semakin terpinggir" kemudiannya.

"Bayangkan sahaja sekarang ini kuasa politik Melayu di Parlimen adalah amat marginal sekali. Keadaan ini perlu kita tangani dari sekarang jika kita tidak mahu menjadi pelarian dibumi sendiri.

"Pepecahan undi Melayu akan melunturkan kuasa politik Melayu yang sedia ada. Pada hari ini kuasa ekonomi bukan ditangan orang Melayu. Adakah kita sanggup hilang kuasa politik juga?" katanya.

Berucap dalam Perhimpunan Agung Pergerakan Wanita Umno di Dewan Merdeka hari ini yang bertemakan "Anjakan Untuk Melonjakkan Kemenangan", Shahrizat berkata jika Umno lemah, maka percayalah risikonya akan dirasai oleh semua kaum.

"Jika Melayu bersatu, dan kuat dan mejadi tulang belakang kerajaan yang dipilih, apatah lagi jika majoriti dua pertiga kerusi Parlimen, maka insya-Allah suamua kaum, semua lapisan masyarakat akan dapat meraih kestabilan politik negara," katanya.

NZ, thanks for the info. I think politics cannot be separated from stocks market when one have to make investment decision. Since election is coming, please post more politics news that you think might have an impact on the stock market.

today's rebound is not mean good sign because it's just lower-high after so long lower formation. Nothing to be happy about.
Just my personal thoughts.

I still remember when BN lose majority...klci down more then 10%...circuit breaker..first time In history...foreign fund panic selling...takes 3 years to recover..

exactly wwf05567 , business will boom when there is no corruption. I presume when there is a change of government, foreigners will flock to invest here as investors don't have to pay all the "extras" to do business and that means lower expenses & higher profits.
