Jal: For your info HUPSENG always buy multiple of 300 shares. min 300 shares, its become 2000 shares. if you buy 200 shares after split you will get 1333 shares. you can not sell 33 shares. 1 lot = 100 shares so 33 shares keep in your cds account!....haha..buy/sell at your own risk...

hup seng closed 7.50. will go higher maybe. @ 7.50 the ex all price and jump start price will be 1.25/1.30 on 2/4/14. do you all dare to buy(work out to 10.00 for 1.2k purchase). meena make sure you sell the share in hand for bonus share you'll get late. this way on receiving your bonus share your cost very low loh. congrats and happy for you.

mikekong55: bro, I think our forrumers should take the initiative to learn up on stock fundamentals like dividends, splits, bonuses, rights etc; and the timing of entry. If HUP SENG bot at this high price now, the entry costs will be high, and investors ability to maximize from the bonus cum splits upon ex will be limited, the closer towards ex-date.

Richmond168: HUPSENG: Bro will buy after ex, and will go up like KAREX. Its a fundamentally strong counter. This if we do not want to participate in the bonus and splits exercise. But if we want to go thru this whole exercise, the timing of our entry is important to maximize benefits upon ex.

Jal 贾彬得; HUPSENG: Its up to u to chase the high price now, like sifu mike said it could trend higher than RM 7.50, but ur entry cost is high. U got to think whether u want to go thru this whole exercise or just buy on ex, and hope will make money like KAREX.

Assuming u bot 1000 HUPSENG shares today @ RM 7.50
(I) Entry cost = RM 7,500
(ii) No. of shares after bonus/splits = (1,000 + 1,000/3) X 5 = 6,665 shares
(iii) If ex at *RM 8.00 (*closing price on 1 April),then ex-price on 2nd April will be RM 8.00/6.665 = est RM 1.20 It will definitely gap on ex-date 2 April to est RM 1.30/35
(iii) Ur investment worth will be = est RM 1.30 x 6,665 shares = RM 8,664.50
(iv) Net profit on investment = RM 8,664.50 - RM 7,500 = RM 1,164.50 OR ROI of 15.5%. A tidy sum, not bad. U then grow with this company and ur ROI increase as the price slowly trends higher. Remember the company share based has increased 6.65x, price movement slower. This is just an estimate.

U decide now and do ur own maths. Cheers

psd57 thanks but i dont have so much capital to go in now i better hold my investment already taken loss on daya and mqtech almost 4k burn still waiting for another counter almost 1month will wait for 2months more stuck there...thanks to everyone here for guidance and learning process for seeing and understanding the capital market.
