that's why i don't understand why the FA frens in HY need to defend every movement .. the short-term fluctuations shall be left to the TA traders who ride on the troughs and peaks cuz there can never be ONE WAVE that can go vertical no matter how good the fundamentals are yes ?

i am still learning darn hard to trade like the pro ... after following a few of them, one thing in common is that they DON'T chase price ... they form a BIAS be it bullish or bearish based on higher time-frame chart ... if bearish, then they will patiently wait to SELL / SHORT on rally (definitely not chasing the lows unless the momentum is strong and they will trade based on the inside bar strategy ie short when price breaks the low of the mother bar) .. this is what they meant by trade the trend instead of fighting it yes ???

in the case of HSI, looks like bearish bias on daily time-frame ?? price has broken the strong 50EMA dynamic support which has previously been able to hold for further upward movement ... so, the professionals wud most likely wait and wait for price to retest the BLACK downtrend line .. if they see bearish pin-bar or bearish engulfing at this line, then they will pounce with a stop loss some pips higher than the high of the bearish candle (short on rally!) ? this will give them a higher probability trade cuz they trade in-line with the bigger pic trend ?? of course, if price goes back up above the trendline, then the bearish bias is negated !

any comment on above approach ? :)

errr one thing to point out .. the hsi chart (if anyone is looking) i posted early and the strategy stated is only good if one is trading futures i guess ... cuz for our local put/call, it may not be suitable due to the don't-know-what decaying effect if one holds too long ??

everything make sens from your pick. I only like QL for my own reason and also it is in my family portfolio since listing. The boss is quite good at goreng also if he wants hehehe.

Duit my advise for you, stick to one type of trading and be good at it. It is great to learn many type and style but you go back and calculate and see which one make most money. If you don’t have one style that excel means you are not meant to be in stock investment.
