For decades, local chinese who want to continue their undergraduates in local uni, usually sit for SPM and STPM!
But for those who opt to sit for STPM, chances are much brighter to get a place!
This has been unquestioned fro decades!
However, the Lims promise the impossible! Once must understand why you cannot directly recognse UEC! It is more harm that good!
UEC school leavers will find it hard as our local public universities are using bahasa as main language! This will be huge stumbling block for sure!
By going through STPM, they will adopt much better and go straight to degree courses!
Another problem is the backlash from majority malays! They will not like it at all!

Hence it's going to be uphill task for Harapan and Pkr particularly to convince the fence sitters!

My advise, be pragmatic! STPM is the best course to take! There's plenty of place in public universities as most of youth today no longer interested in pursuing degree courses!

STPM is rubbish, especially for the one from Arts.
For science stream students, at least their options for employment are broad.
For Arts student, taking Accounting and Economic maybe the right option. The other subjects are plainly rubbish!

Cintai lah Bahasa Malaysia, bahasa kita.
Yes, learn Bahasa Malaysia (Bahasa Melayu). Learn it well too.
However, do not neglect English. Increasingly, learn Chinese too. Why? Knowing Chinese opens up a lot of opportunities for an individual especially in this region. Moreover, the Middle Eastern nations, the Europeans and also the Americas are also learning this language as a third language.
For those of non-Malay ethnic origins, learn their mother tongue too. Cultural and language go hand in hand. Your life will be richer in many aspects when you know more languages.
Remarkably, for many non-Malays, they can at least converse in 3 languages: Bahasa Melayu, English (though not all are proficient) and their own mother language. Many foreigners are often amazed at the command of three languages in their Malaysian friends.

Well, language enables one to communicate and that is all it does.
Not everyone can be a writer, editor, reporter or newsreader.
Other than communication skill what else do they have?
Maybe by knowing language you can be an effective "brown noser".
No result.
