Fwd CPO price above RM 5k due to difficulty in harvesting due to continuous heavy rain. It is already a cash cow, so will follow Innovest hopefully to declare dividends every quarter. Should not be a problem as Free Cash Flow last year was 360 million, and this was based on CPO price of Rm 3771 as stated in Annual Report. Imagine what RM 5000 can do to the CashFlow !!!! Target Price of Rm 1.45 by most Investment Banks is realistic.

You should concentrate of what will be the earnimg moving forward and not what others are doing/saying or ???????

For jayatiasa just pure simple: FFB, CPO and PK production are reported every month and CPO and PK price spot price and month average you can get it from MPOB report.

What more do you need.
By the way price will follow earning

But if the Mill is MSPO certified… is the outsourcing FFB plantations are also MSPO certified ??? 🤔

Did somone know jayatiasa is using their Palm oil mill spare capacity to process third parties FFB into CPO and PK. Isn't that an addition income for jayatiasa?

Go and read how much money 3iii Kmlong earning from milling FFB sourcing from third parties.

FGV RSPO certified?

In the process of certifying our mills, we had also certified about 40,000 FELDA schemed smallholders.👍👍👍

Sslee

Once your mill is RSPO or MSPO certified then your mill can only accept FFB from RSPO or MSPO plantation/small holders.

One of the criteria for RSPO or MSPO is plantation or small holder must hold a valid land freehold/leasehold/rent title to the plantation land. This is to prevent illegal planting in forest area.

RSPO :

The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil(RSPO) was established in 2004 with the objective of promoting the growth and use of sustainable palm oil products through global standards and multistakeholder governance.

MSPO :

The Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) Certification Scheme is the national scheme in Malaysia for oil palm plantations, independent and organised smallholdings, and palm oil processing facilities to be certified against the requirements of the MSPO Standards.

why argue until the cow came home. As long as cpo price average 4 k jaya tiasa will earn decent earning and give dividend. Its value of all plantations and timber concessions combined is much higher than its total market capitalisation. Compared this with many other companies with bigger capitalisations but with peanut earnings and dividend.

👉Is impairment included in depreciation and amortization?

Impairments are not the same as depreciation or amortization. In the case of depreciation or amortization, the loss of value of the asset is anticipated and planned for. With impairment, the loss in value is unexpected.

Impairment is the permanent reduction in the value of a fixed asset or intangible asset to the point that its market value is less than the value recorded on the financial statements. Under GAAP, impairments are entered as a loss on the income statement. Impairments are not the same as depreciation or amortization.

@sslee:
Based on the current CPO, what is your estimated coming Q2 earning?

Sslee

You need to work out the revenue for month Oct, Nov and Dec based on reported CPO and PK month average MPOB spot price and jayatiasa reported CPO and PK production.

It is still too early to estimate coming quarter ended 31/12/2024 earning.
But based on quarter end 30/9/2024 earning when quarter average CPO price 3935 and PK 2452 and Quarter ended 31/12/2024 should be much higher thus earning should be higher.

value_invest

If we assume that the coming 2Q - OCT to DEC: same as last FY2024:-
1) FFB 345,778 MT,
2) CPO production 69092 same as last FY 24.
3) Average spot CPO 4400 to 4500.

What is your estimated for coming 2Q Earning?
Reading on phillip posting mentioning, you estimate PBT 130mil coming Q? Seem good earning..
The management has forecast the FY2025 FFB 1.2mil MT. in increase of about 10%..

Sslee

When I bought Jayatiasa my aim is to build a portfolio that will give me good dividend. I only estimate as long as CPO can stay about 4000 it will be already very good.

So anything above that is extra bonus for me.
Note: PK price is now 3500+

value_invest

Good, your estimation on CPO 4000 is conservative.
So, Based on the above date and assumption. As mentioned by phillip earlier posting, if you target Coming 2Q 130mil PBT, PAT should be more than 100mil, EPS is 10cent +.. Cash flow should be 150 mil. Half year EPS can hit 0.17c+... Sound good.. No wonder the price keep going up. Heard some funds are accumulating also..

Philip ( buy what you understand)

Actually, the share price is driven by revenue and earnings output. If you know that next quarter oct Nov dec your average cpo price are 4800-5000, you will be guaranteed a monster of a dividend. And looking at jtiasa history, they will probably be giving it out next quarter. So if you bought at rm1 and you receive 10 cents dividend for the year, how much would you rate the price of jtiasa especially if they retire their debt this year?
