HRC is oil refinery and not crude oil producers.
HRC only make profit from sell of its refined products minus (crude oil it bought + refining cost + finance cost + overhead + admin + depreciation) +- hedging gain/loss +- invenmtories gain/loss
So is high crude price good for HRC?????

Petron facing some operational issues. May need to shut down for 3 months. With Petron out of operation, HY being next to Petron could benefit from it. That is what people speculated.

HRC previous problem does not completely shut off their operations. Only reduce their production. Petron issue is far more worse that HRC. Anyway, I have said what I want to say. Best of luck.

Hengyuan is good for goreng. Make money sell , don't look at fundamental . Remember last round of oil rally . Oil hit USD 100 , HY still losses in their account. Newbies to HY beware this is a goreng counter , don't hold long term.

all being said,upon the first israeli bombs dropped crude may still spike usd 10,but it may give up its gains as quickly,as for hrc,someone said it is due to petron going out of action due to shut down soon,we shall see.....good luck,i m grabbing my popcorns

To speculate that HRC spike due to Petron tentative close operation for three months is quite illogical. Isn't the market aware that there are other refineries still in operation? Including the big one Petronas?
Not to forget chairman of HRC is also chairman of another petrochemical company in China. Meanwhile, people in Hong Kong was rushing to try their luck in Hang Seng market last week.
