Kes mahkamah atok kerala & anaknya memakai opcom untuk mencuri duit negara sedang berjalan, dll... usah sentuh stok opcom, barangkali denda besar akan dikenakan terhadap opcom jika terbukti

sakau wang rakyat, PMX was right
In 2003, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) awarded a RM214.2 million fibre optic replacement contract to Opcom Cables Sdn Bhd, a company in which Mahathir Mohamad's third son, Mukhriz, was a director. The contract was awarded without any tender, and Anwar Ibrahim has alleged that Mahathir used his position as prime minister and finance minister to influence the decision.
Anwar has also alleged that the contract was overpriced, and that Opcom did not have the necessary experience or expertise to carry out the work. He has called for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate the matter.
Mahathir has denied any wrongdoing, and has said that the contract was awarded fairly. He has also said that the MACC is free to investigate the matter, but that he is confident that no wrongdoing will be found.
The MACC has said that it is still gathering information on the matter, and that it will take action if there is any evidence of corruption.
The allegations against Mahathir have been met with mixed reactions. Some people have called for him to be investigated, while others have defended him, saying that he is a respected figure who would not have engaged in any wrongdoing.
The case is still ongoing, and it remains to be seen whether the MACC will find any evidence of corruption. However, the allegations have cast a shadow over Mahathir's legacy, and they have raised questions about his use of power.

HMM :)
In 2003, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) awarded a RM214.2 million contract to Opcom Sdn Bhd, a company in which Mahathir's third son, Mukhriz, was a director at the time. The contract was for the replacement of fiber optic cables in the Klang Valley.
Anwar Ibrahim, the current Prime Minister of Malaysia, has alleged that the contract was awarded to Opcom without any competitive bidding, and that it was overpriced. He has also alleged that Mahathir was involved in the decision to award the contract, and that he benefited financially from it.
Mahathir has denied these allegations, and has said that the contract was awarded fairly and that he did not benefit financially from it. However, the allegations have led to calls for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate the matter.
The Opcom contract is just one of a number of allegations of corruption that have been made against Mahathir in recent years. In 2022, he was also accused of using his position as prime minister to benefit his family's businesses. These allegations have led to a decline in Mahathir's popularity, and have raised questions about his legacy.

Yes, Opcom is affected by the recent MACC investigation. The company's share price has fallen sharply since the investigation was announced, and its reputation has been damaged. It is possible that the company could face legal action if the investigation finds evidence of corruption.
However, it is important to note that the investigation is still ongoing, and no charges have been filed against Opcom or any of its executives. It is possible that the investigation will find no evidence of wrongdoing, in which case the company's share price could recover.
The MACC investigation is a serious matter for Opcom, but it is too early to say what the long-term impact will be. The company will need to cooperate with the investigation and take steps to improve its corporate governance if it wants to regain the trust of investors.
Here are some of the potential impacts of the MACC investigation on Opcom:
The company's share price could continue to fall, making it more difficult to raise capital.
The company could face legal action, which could lead to fines or even imprisonment for its executives.
The company's reputation could be damaged, making it more difficult to win new contracts.
The company could lose customers, as they may be concerned about the company's ethics.
The MACC investigation is a serious matter for Opcom, but it is too early to say what the long-term impact will be. The company will need to cooperate with the investigation and take steps to improve its corporate governance if it wants to regain the trust of investors.

Not many optic fibre in Malaysia. Forest City might push this up sooner or later. It is all part of the push to win seats in Johor.

Why is it unusual for Opcom to have bad quarterly results?
Opcom bought TJE for RM90M and it's financials are as follows:
TJE FYE 2021 (RM)
Revenue: 1.591M
GP: 0.824M
PAT: 0.453M
Shareholders' funds: (1.752M)
And Opcom is on the way to buy more companies with such financials.

Can't see Eddie sitting on 25% instead of 29.1% after the SSP deal. Can imagine he will be buying up big to built up his holdings after being diluted.
