Why is it unusual for Opcom to have bad quarterly results?
Opcom bought TJE for RM90M and it's financials are as follows:
TJE FYE 2021 (RM)
Revenue: 1.591M
GP: 0.824M
PAT: 0.453M
Shareholders' funds: (1.752M)
And Opcom is on the way to buy more companies with such financials.

Can't see Eddie sitting on 25% instead of 29.1% after the SSP deal. Can imagine he will be buying up big to built up his holdings after being diluted.

For the current quarter, the Group registered revenue of RM8.4million and loss before tax of RM9.6mil. The revenue was mainly contributed by Telecommunication Network and Manufacturing divisions. Following an evaluation of the business transactions in accordance to MFRS15: Revenue from Contracts with Customers, the Group revised its principal arrangement to an agency arrangement in the current quarter. As a result, an adjustment involving the reversal of RM37.0 million from revenue and cost respectively was made. Included in the loss before tax for the current quarter is the recognition of the impairment loss of its investment in an associated company of RM8.1million, difference arising from receivables discounted to present value of RM2.4million, and amortisation of intangible assets in relation to the acquisition of TJE amounting to RM7.8 million.

Nothing wrong with its business operations. Only adjustment to accounting entries on revenue and cost of sales. one thumb up we can see is it s expanding business into telecommunications.
