the acquisition of SJEE is taking such a longgggg time. expected it to conclude much earlier but till now, still pending. wait till neck long super long dy. looking forward to completion soon (pls!) and then all the dc contract announcements..

got announcement last night... SJEE acquisition has now turned unconditional, meaning whatever conditions mentioned in the agreement have been met already. no turning back.. i think it's just a matter of maybe a few weeks (perhaps 2-4 weeks) for the transaction to complete... and SSB can then consolidate the earnings fr SJEE after CNY.

at least got some positive news... looks like it's just admin or paperwork stuff ... finally. can look forward to stop twiddling my thumb dy. this transaction is a long time coming! hopefully post completion, SJEE (through SSB) can also give us small fry shareholders more good news... some data centre contracts would be excellent!

Construction. The establishment of the JSSEZ will require infrastructure development to support the mobility of people within the region. This could translate into large-scale projects, such as the development of LRT, MRT, ART, or BRT systems over the next 3–5 years. These efforts would complement the almostcomplete RTS Link, which is set to commence operations in 2026, providing a more comprehensive transportation network for the region. This increased infrastructure activity should also positively impact the building materials segment. Companies that could benefit include GAMUDA, IJM, SUNCON, BNASTRA, SSB8.

today price pulled back a bit along with the weak market.. but i reckon all is still good, esp now just a matter of days or weeks for SJEE completion to materialise. maybe if pull back more, can buy more hehe. plus construction sector shld do well in 2025... so, both businesses will flourish this year...

"On behalf of SSBB, Kenanga IB wishes to announce that the parties have proceeded with the completion of the Proposed Acquisition on 17 January 2025 in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SJEE SSA including the payment of the balance Purchase Consideration of RM20,655,000."
