Since its establishment in 2006 until 2023 Iskandar Malaysia has recorded cumulative investments of RM413.1 billion, of which 59% of those investments have been realized with an investment value of RM241.9 billion. These recorded figures prove foreign investors are getting more confident in investing in Johor and Malaysia as a whole. Through this meeting also, various long-term planning have been discussed in order to achieve the investment strategies and objectives highlighted in the Iskandar Malaysia Comprehensive Development Plan 2022-2030, among them are:- 1. Construction of Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) and Special Financial Zone (SFZ). 2. Making Iskandar Malaysia Investment Service Centre as a complete Investment Facilitation Centre in one single window. All of these efforts reflect the potential of Iskandar Malaysia, in cooperation with IRDA, to make this area an international metropolis, in addition to a dynamic investment destination choice. Hopefully all articles can be realized, thus making Iskandar Malaysia continue to develop and be competitive, in line with the desire of the State Government to become a developed state by 2030. SP Setia is in the midst of getting approvals to rezone Setia Alaman Industrial Park (GDV: MYR3.09b) for industrial use. The industrial park spans 399 acres, comprising of 35 plots of industrial land and six plots of commercial land. Some land parcels were recently transacted by logistics players at MYR140-160 psf, well exceeding management’s initial expectations. The attractive price is largely attributed to its strategic location and connectivity, linked to major highways like Jalan Meru and the North Klang Valley Expressway or NKVE.
