Renounceable rights issue of up to RM255,764,462 in nominal value of 5-year 3.8% irredeemable convertible unsecured loan stocks ("ICULS") at 100% of its nominal value of RM0.235 each on the basis of 3 ICULS for every 4 existing ordinary shares in Eastern & Oriental Berhad ("E&O") held as at 5.00 p.m. on 20 February 2023 ("Rights Issue of ICULS")

1)    The above Company’s securities will be traded and quoted “Ex-Rights Issue” as from: 17 Feb 2023
2)    The last date of lodgment : 20 Feb 2023
3)    Retention Money: Where securities are not delivered in time for registration by the seller, then the brokers concerned:-
       a)    Selling Broker to deduct <3/7>, of Selling Price against the Selling Client
       b)    Buying Broker to deduct <10%>, of Purchase Price against the Buying Client
       c)    Between Broker and Broker, the deduction of <3/7>, of the Transacted Price is applicable.

Remarks:

The Abridged Prospectus, together with the Notice of Provisional Allotment and Rights Subscription Form in relation to the Rights Issue of ICULS (collectively referred to as the "Documents") will only be despatched to the shareholders whose names appear in E&O's Record of Depositors as at 5.00 p.m. on 20 February 2023 ("Entitlement Date") ("Entitled Shareholders") at their registered address in Malaysia or who have provided the share registrar, Tricor Investor & Issuing House Services Sdn Bhd, with a registered address in Malaysia in writing by 5.00 p.m. on the Entitlement Date.

The Documents are not intended to be (and will not be) issued, circulated or distributed in countries or jurisdictions other than Malaysia and no action has been or will be taken to ensure that the Rights Issue of ICULS and the Documents comply with the laws of any country or jurisdiction other than the laws of Malaysia.

Entitled Shareholders who do not have a registered address in Malaysia for the service of Documents and wish to provide a Malaysian address, should inform their respective stockbrokers and the share registrar, Tricor Investor & Issuing House Services Sdn Bhd, to effect the change of address by 5.00 p.m. on the Entitlement Date.
