Apart from looking forward to the Chinese New Year festivities, the month of February is also a month where we anticipate the announcement of 2012 EPF Dividend!
For the record, the 2010 EPF dividend distribution was declared on 21st of Feb 2011 while 2011 dividend distribution was declared on 19th of Feb 2012. Therefore, it is highly likely that 2012 EPF dividend distribution announcement should also fall between those dates.
For income earners, people who we say "makan gaji", they tend to place some importance in knowing the EPF dividend payout. The higher the dividend declaration, the more money for retirement!
Now, to give a speculated projected prediction, we first take a look at EPF's performance for 2010, 2011 and 2012:

hopefullu higher dividend then...am no expert in share trading...so the experts can comment here. fyi, in 2011 almost 50% of epf portfolio is invested in equities. 2012 should be the same. :-)

Base on what is coming soon, but not on last year's performance, the dividend will be generous.

Probably more than 6% this time for additional feel good factor for coming election.

One of the best dividend payment in history, tax free and risk-free. Election coming. That is why one should leave his money in EPF. There may be just one problem, not sure if it is real or imaginary. If the same government continue to rule with the blatant corruption even for another term, the money left in EPF may not be there anymore when one wants to withdraw it later.

Based on KLCI performance, Y2012 is better than Y2011, as such EPF should be positive for Y2012.
