明年4月消費稅開跑后，預計目前徵收的50令吉信用卡服務稅將取消，但信用卡的年費則將被徵收6%消費稅。
為了抑制卡債，政府是在2010年開始徵收50令吉信用卡服務稅。

Q18: Most banks waive the annual subscription fee on the credit card to make
it competitive in the market. Is the waived annual subscription fee subject to GST?
A18: Since there is no consideration for the supply of service, the bank need not charge GST on the waived annual subscription fee.
