Leon Fuat has not reported its EPS for its latest quarter ending June 2021. Most likely it will report reduced profit, like Choo Bee.
Hiap Teck
I also have not included Hiap Teck because it is a steel manufacturer which sells its steel to all the above steel product makers. It reported EPS 4.8 sen for the quarter ending April. Its previous quarter EPS was 2.2 sen, an increase of more than 200%. Most likely its next quarter ending July will be much better which will be announced before the end of September.

Uncle Koon is an old man, and always never take calculation seriously. Let me point out his 2 mistakes for the calculation which are related to free bonus issues:
1)ASTINO(4:5)- 4 bonus shares for every 5 existing Astino shares on 16JUl2021.
2)PRESTAR(3:5)- 3 bonus shares for every 5 existing PRESTAR shares on 11AUG2021.
Now, the provided share price for Astino is 74cent and Prestar is 77 cent, But other steel stocks like AYS, LEONFB, CHOOBEE, ETC no free bonus are given, and this make the EPS divided by price calculation become incorrect.
To correct the calculation, the Astino & Prestar price should be converted to pre bonus price bcs the given financial results are pre bonus one. Astino price should be = 74cent x 1.8= RM1.33 & Prestar price should be = 77cent x 1.6= RM1.23
Lastly, the EPS divided by its respective share price:
Astino = 8.5/133=6.4
Prestar = 9.6/123=7.8
In conclusion the so called EPS divided by share price ranking should be different. The best is AYS, second is Leonfb and followed by Choobee, ....
Uncle Koon, pls ask someone to help you to examine your writing, misleading calculation is not good for making the right decision.

One thing good is KYY didnt apply the stupxd formula "annualised EPS (last Q EPS 8.5 cents x 4=34 cents) x PE 10 = RM3.40}" to project his TP for AYS.
Another thing is more than 90% of AYS's sales revenue is contributed by their Trading n Service Div. So far from the last 2 quarters they posted very good results thanks to their good trading skills (buy inventories at low cost n sell at high prices in tandem with the mkt movement) and luck.
Pray hard for the coming q results can be sustained and lets c how long they can show their good trading skills n luck.....
Any price increase today will be good time to sell, especially u knew who pushed up the price for more than 50% last few days

What ever KYY say, one need to go back a month or so to check if he is consistence.
Now he is very optimistic about Hiap Teck Qtr 31.7.2021 result.
"Most likely its next quarter ending July will be much better which will be announced before the end of September."
However on 26.7.2021 he said this:-

I must also add that OTB has been very consistent about his recommendation of Hiap Teck. Buy at around 50 sen and hold until Sept 2022 for a TP of RM1.03.
Of course caveat emptor.

Mr Ooi, I always thought he has 写手 helping him to write those articles and do some research and fact finding and compile into articles to be posted in i3. Because at his age, he just need "accomplice" to help him with those "research" to make money together-gather in trading and makan ikan bilis.

I believe only upstream manufacturers like Ann Joo and Hiapteck will benefit from high steel price not those do tradings. Ann Joo and Hiapteck are exporting to China if no local demand.

AYS is an interesting company. Most listed steel companies are manufacturing, and their trading business is not making much profit. AYS’s main business is trading (97%) and it is making really good profit.
AYS is keeping 1 quarter of inventory, and as long as steel price is increasing or maintained at high level, AYS will continue to make good profit.
Quarter ended 31/03/2021, trading revenue is RM209.2M, net profit is RM16.6M, margin 7.93%.
Quarter ended 30/06/2021, trading revenue is RM254M, net profit is RM37.3M, margin 14.69%.
If AYS annual revenue reach RM1Billion and net profit margin 10%, then net profit will be RM100M.
Total shares are 380,417,656, EPS will be RM0.26.
