Dr Mahathir laughs at idea of joining DAP

KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 — Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad responded with laughter when asked if he would become a DAP member in the event he could not regain control of Bersatu.
The ruling Bersatu revoked his membership along with five others after they sat in the Opposition bench during last month’s Parliament meeting.
“[Laughs] I don’t think I would join the DAP. As you know, they are making DAP the scapegoat. They blame the DAP for controlling the government so as to win over Malay support for them.
“But if I join the DAP, which is predominantly Chinese, I don’t think that would be well accepted by the people,” he told Asia Times when its interviewers posed the question to him.
Dr Mahathir said he has consistently been a representative of the Malay community and would remain so.
He said he has yet to decide if the best platform for him would be to remain independent or to form yet another political party.
“These are options that I don’t think I need to make at the moment.”
Dr Mahathir has become an unlikely defender of the DAP, a party that he once attacked vehemently prior to their collaboration in 2016.

Mahathir is partyless with only 4 MPs with him! Yeah, better become Dap president! Proof to us that Dap is his new faith!

this part is so true, genuine and honest the rest needs to be taken with some salt.

Ironically, despite being the PM for a multiracial nation for 22 years and 22 months in the past, sacked by his own single-race political party, and being ditched by his post-GE14 secret racist plotters, he only wants to represents his own race!

Unbelievably being hailed as a local world class leaders. Without this kond of people how come a great nation like Msia can come to such a pathetic situation today? And even more amazing are its fake education and infantile level of public awareness -despite the country has became poorer and poorer they managed to make many of their cronies millionaires and billionaires during their premiership. Others are being labeled as sheer lazy worthless bum. That itself is their great achievement and success. I only pity those ignorant poor village folks- drown in religiosity- afar from the worldly reality.

Do u know mahathir is part of the gangs that, conspire to undermine DAP to spread fear among the malays & muslim, eventhough DAP is inside PH and the ruling partner of Mahathir party leh ??

AFAIK, it is TDM's people who have been consistently blaming DAP, and LGE in particular, for not being able to deliver the goodies to the Malay community.
