Definitions
Fox Sly, cunning, smart, quick, eats every thing and any thing.
Hedgehog Laser like focus, opinionated, strong willed, sees every thing through his own lenses, looks out through the tip of the nose.
In the share market, are you a fox or a hedgehog?
In looking for a portfolio fund manager, you want to look for a fox
To be a super investor, you need to be a hedgehog with one big idea. An entrepreneur. Good entrepreneurship, Risk taking ability. All in. Sailang.
Are you a fox or a hedgehog?
Throughout most of my investing career, I was a fox.
In the last 12 months or so, I am slowing slowing being convinced I have to be a hedgehog if I want to make it big.
Pros and Cons
Fox - pros
conservative
better forcasting ability
lower risks
suitable for retirement funds
Fox - cons
trades too often
Hedgehog - pros
one big idea
chance to win big
very selective and convincing
suitable for entrepreneurship funds
Hedgehogs - cons
stubborn streak
The feature of the fox is his constant activity
The feature of the hedgehog is his "One Big Idea"
Are you a fox or a hedgehog?
Are you true to yourself operating to your strengths or operating to your weakness?
Is what you want aligned with what you are ?
Are you a Warren Buffett wannabe reacting to every analysts fear and greed?
You have to develop your own style, your own personality, to each his own.
Have confidence in your ability but also seek out a sifu, a mentor you can trust.

YA LAST MONTH...MY FRIEND WHO SELL FISH IN PUDU MARKET....WHEN TO GENTING WITH RM 6000 CAPITAL....HE MAKES RM 60K FROM THE GAMBLING SESSION LOH....!!
THIS IS HOW U MAKE BIG GAMBLING LOH...SAME APPLIES WITH WHAT STOCKMAMMY SAYS HIS FORAYS WINS ON WARRANT LOH, HE IS NOTHING BUT A GAMBLER LOH....!!
LUCKILY HE HAS NO GUTS OR NO BALLS LOH...!!
IF NOT, TOUGH LIFE FOR HIS FAMILY LOH...!!

I wrote an article on that too. The reason I wrote that is as pre emptive strike. Typically cannot keep the profits for more than one month. Make from A lose to B.
Wrote that article to prevent myself from losing back as I sense my trading profits (eg Hibiscus and other penny stocks ) is building up too fast, very fast during the penny stocks run earlier.
How to make money and not lose them all back later.?
