FBM KLCI: 1,468.21 pts (+18.47pts, +1.27%)

The FBM KLCI (+1.27%) soared along with regional bourses as investors cheered the Malaysia’s GDP growth which signalled the economy is on a recovery mode, as well as the softening of the US inflation rate. Market breadth turned positive as the advancer thumped the decliners by 667-to-275 stocks. The technology sector (+5.33%) was the session’s leader, tracking the overnight rallies in Nasdaq with GREATEC (+53.0 sen), INARI (+13.0 sen), and MPI (+230.0 sen) being the top gaining stocks. Conversely, REIT (-0.17%) was the sole laggard.
