The FBM KLCI (-0.19%) retreated in tandem with regional peers as sentiment turned cautious ahead of the monetary policy meeting from the US, UK, and Europe. Market breadth was negative as the decliners thumped the advancers by 532-to-368 stocks. The utilities sector (-1.15%) staged a pullback led by TENAGA (-13.0 sen), PETGAS (-8.0 sen), and GASMSIA (-6.0 sen), followed by the construction sector (-1.11%), while investors favoured the plantation (+0.37%) and transportation & logistics (+0.37%) sectors.
