USA pivoting to Renewable Green Energy is Using Lots and Lots of Soybean Oil as Biofuel

And it has now turn into a Net Importer of Soybean Oil

With one rival vege oil taken out Cpo prices will rise higher

Also Indonesia is pivoting from Crude oil Fossil Fuel to Palm Oil as Biofuel to save on foreign exchange

Now B30 turns into B35. By the time B100 arrives it would have taken up 70% of all Cpo Indonesia exported

The remaining 30% will be for domestic cooking oil use - leaving little for export

So there is a long term favourable booster for Palm oil like never before.

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government will apply biodiesel 35 or B35 simultaneously nationwide starting Tuesday, August 1. B35 is a fuel with 35 percent biofuel (BBN) mixed into fuel oil (BBM). The B35 was first launched on February 1 this year.

US shifts to net soybean oil importer on biofuel boom: Foreign Agricultural Service

US soybean oil derivative exports for MY 2023-24 was estimated in FAS' latest report at 159,000 mt, against imports of 181,000 mt, again making the country a net importer of soybean oil. The US' consumption of soybean oil projection has also been revised upwards to 12.29 million mt from 12.02 million mt, primarily led by usage in biofuels.

According to the FAS, increased in renewable diesel production driven by low-carbon fuel mandates has led to growing domestic demand for soybean oil, suppressing exports and pushing US out of global export market. The US became a net importer of soybean oil for the first time in history in 2022-23 by a slight margin, when imports stood at 170,000 mt against exports of 168,000 mt. The shifts came amid higher Environmental Protection Agency multiyear biofuel blending targets.
