In 1985, he was appointed Managing Director of Poh Kong Jewellers (Great Wall) Sdn. Bhd. in Klang. His main responsibilities are in managing the daily operations of several retail outlets including those in Alam Sentral, Tesco Xtra Shah Alam Bukit Tinggi, Tesco Hypermarket Klang, Tesco Hypermarket Shah Alam, Sungai Buloh Complex, Queensbay Mall Penang and Tesco Xtra Bukit Jambul Penang. He also holds directorships of several other companies within the Group.
