the Malaysia's retail sales are hard hit by GST . this is very clear cut. Padini Brand outlets are better located compared to Genasia and Bonia ( because of pricing and locations. Stores are bigger and strategic wise compared to its competitors.
Margins for all retails have compressed. Why pay extra ??? in this trying times. Just my personal opinion . one of the reasons why Genasia and Bonia shares going south. Retail sales you need vibrant staffs and promotion activities. BOnia and Genasia doesnt have the oomph !

the market is too big for any person ( to manipulate ) . You may be right in your selection criteria but timing is the most critical point.
counters with large institutional funds always locked in their profit whenever the counter hit certain level(s). Trading and capital growth is two different criteria. afterall dollar signs +++ is always good to lock in. just my personal viewpoint

Amanah is good at subscribing IPO and rights. come trading ??? They used to be holding alot HY shares. Guess what ! they disposed off HY ( reasearch report says narrowing margin for Oil refiney ). Disposal price range < RM 10. HY jump after disposal and hit intraday high > 19. how good is their trading ! your guess is as good as mine

never regret locking in profit. i sold my HY (now waiting for the uptrend to-enter)

UMWOG in its glory days was a 10billion dollar club member (read the edge write up) due to the collaspe of Oil prices and Petronas scale back on rigs utilisation. UMWOG was hit by currency and as well lower rigs rental and utilisation.

Oil prices drop from USD 120 per barrel to below USD 40 per barrel. GST was put in place to replace the sharp drop in revenue. Currently Crude oii has recovered from thier lows and trading at USD 65-USD 70 price range ( much higher than our country budgeted price USD 40 per barrel )
Expect more CAPEX from petronas

Shareholders are blue blooded GLIC. PNB and ASB ( Amanah Saham Bumiputra ) UMWOG parent company is UMW a conglomerate giant in is own right. UMWOG is not a pariah run of the mill. Hopefully we can see better days for UMWOG shares

DUKE highway traffic is not heavy. takes time to mature. look at Lekas after 2-3 years traffic is only now picking up. you need mature neighbourd to spike up traffic volume
