read goldman sach's report with a pinch of salt.They are the ones who said will hit $200 when it was over $100 ad similarly said will go to the teens when it was below $30!I think they create news to see hw high or low the prices can go since many kind of respect their view!

Hng,I had done that with Telekom covered warrants way back in 2006-2007 period where I had reversed my paper losses of 190 to break even.I guess I was lucky whereby the telekom was not really super bear compared to armada now.There is a great uncertainty in this counter as the net gearing excluding a/r is abt 8 times of paid-up capital if not mistaken.To me this ration is simply just too high for me.What you owe people you have to pay but people owe you may not pay!

It's not very nice to hear when people are sarcastic to you when you are losing money,isn't it?Sometimes wrong trade is already wrong.It's doesn't pay off to buy back lower after selling especially downtrend counters.Losses could get very much bigger compared to if you have stopped trading in that counter.

I reaslised that you cannot buy the counter just because the price of their core business rises just like you have seen oil counters went lower and lower eventhough price of crude oil rises from 26 to now 45-50.Why?Similarly you have seen dry baltic rate rises from around $300 to over $1000 yet maybulk hardly move up much and can be seen losses still cannot be reversed or even reduced substantially!Many oil counters are highly geared and I suspect their a/r or a/p could be inter-related to each other.You noticed their a/r and a/p are quite high too.Hence one default,it could trigger a chain reaction,hence it's better to be cautious rather trying to guess the bottom.Oversold can get very oversold till you can't believe,lol!.You have seen how megb oversold counter earlier on can hit below .20cts!

As I see it,the build in expectation of good earnings for this quarter among mycron investors is so high,I wonder what would be the price if it disappoints them.Sometimes there seems no reasons at all why it should be that way but it could still happen.

Nowaday,the play in this stockmarket is very different.You have to be selective in the stock pick even from the same sector that is performing very well!

For the price to go higher,earnings must be higher than last quarter but not the drastic down compare to the previous quarter!

Actually I look at the past few quarters earnings.Very good,woh!Sometimes they press it down to accumulate just like msc when they announced result of more than 20 cts when i bought at 2.7 last yr it went to around 2.4 which i cut at 2.5.I couldnt understand the reasons.Only now it performs extremely well!

just saw ekovest ann 4 over cts verse previous q of more than 15 cts.Sometimes I am suspicious they could massage the figures than pump up the price.When it's low enough they accumulate back then do the same the subsequent q!

Honestly speaking,its really damn difficult to choose winning stocks that after correction will go up higher like inno!I firt noticed it when it was .805 but then when you refer back their earnings,its not that great that its really worth buying at .805.but today it 1.24 and recent earnings is only 2 over cts! If people buy Masteel when it announced 4..41 cts,you probably thinks its more likely will go higher if not more or less the same for this quarter with all the safeguard duty imposed.Probably would not occur in most people mind that it could be less than 1 cts so much lesser than the previous quarter!

So all the hypotheses abt Masteel will benefit the most with the safeguard duty imposed by the government is all so wrong!

venfx,if I remember correctly,Maruichi was changed name to melewar,Mycron is one of the subsidiary which they list it,can't really remember I think between 1.4-1.6!

I just cannot trust NS royal family's counter.Melewar was formerly named Maruichi.It was cash rich till they take over.They even borrowed money from bank to pay a handsome payout a few yrs back when they push to I think is about 4.9 before coming all the way down!

Dont be overly confident just because it's Ananda Krishnan's counter.The net gearing is just simply too high if not mistaken almost 8 times paid-up capital!Just be careful!

By right,it should go up after breaking 1.44 but it did not despite rise in CPO and so many others recommending this stock besides COLDEYE who has many followers.Be careful,it could be a trap!

As an observer who doesn't know Kuey nor KYY,in my opinion it's also unfair to judge KYY as many have.In stockmarket there are lots of opinion,it's naive to believe a person who has many right calls is right all the time.The minute you bet heavily the wrong call ,your losses could not even be covered by your gain accumulated!Just like charts,it doesn't guarantee the same chart pattern that normally goes up will go up!A person like Kueh who commits huge financial responsibility towards life community not his blood family more that his capacity is not an ordinary being as not many are willing to sacrifice that.In my opinion,this person though could be very offensive with his words has huge compassion towards animals.Those who wants to help to retain his legacy could contribute financially to the fund set up .However you cannot force people who don't have the same ideology as him.Some people would rather use the money to help man kind as many needed monetary support too.If one does an approximate calculation of $5 per dog a day that would come up to $10,500 per mth excluding medicare and person who looks after them.This kind of financial obligation is not small in my capacity!I believe strongly every being has his/her own karma and how one dies too.It's not entirely within your control many times as you can see how one crane could suddenly drops onto a car and killed the passenger and driver.How 9/11 killed so many people!The ways how people are killed beyond thinkable!Remember every action has a reaction and I strongly believe your action and words carries consequences. We are all speculating the reasons for his suicide,Actual reason is only known by the decease or those people whom he confided in.For a person to commit that act,he must be suffering from some kind of depression.A normal person would never understand why must you terminate your life.A person who suffers depression cannot think so rationally and he/she thinks the best way out from these kind of suffering is to die.WHy did the famous actor/singer CHeong Kok Weng whom seems to have everything in many people's eyes or recent US actor Robin Williams committed suicide?It's best not to judge unless you are in their shoes!

If you look at notes A5 it gives details on the 68 million classified as others.In there you can see provision of goodwill of 78+ million is there and goodwill is reduced correspondingly under assets in the balance sheet.

It was stated goodwill.If not mistaken,there is goodwill declared under asset.I don't think the impairment arises was due to the stated reason by you

just announced 100 million losses.68 million classified as others,it's referring to goodwill.If you compare the previous quarters,the goodwill is reduced by 81 million.However the previous quarter cash stands at 344.8 million and total liabilities is 1.126 billion but now cash stands at 316 million and total liabilities is 1.109 billion.. If you compare the 2 ,the latest losses doesn't really involve much cash other than provision of impairment of goodwill. Nevertheless, It's a long time since Muiind didn't announce such big losses.Why they chose now to make provision of impairment of goodwill?

this reminds me of a story 30 yrs ago of the counter anakku.a client of a remisier started buying when no one looks at the counter.he told the remisier that it will reach $6 when it was $2.slowly it began to climb.the target prices revised many times upward that his wealth increase frm 100 k to 1.2 million.he then opens margin to further build his position.he comes to the remisier's place often.he would stop anyone he knows under this remisier from selling.eventually he ended bankrupt and owe the broking hse a few millions.moral of the story is if the counter wants to go down,even stopping people from selling and your own buying doesnt help!what is singing down or talking bad about the counter.It's all up to the operator.You can say all the good things about it yet if the operator wants it down,you only folllow.for all you know the operator is also looking at this forum to gauge the sentiments of retailers.they want to be winners so they probably do the reverse of the retailers!
