In my opinion, this guy has some serious attitude and behavior problem, maybe he is autism kid. If he is autism i wouldnt blame him, but based on his England i believe he is not a kid with autism.
............

autism is over specialization on certain parts of the brain and lacking on the other

After seeing Jon on i3 day presentation, i actually felt more convinced on the above - his facial expression lacks emotion and ease in expressing / understanding emotions..a common autism symptom.

Sarawak’s O&G to benefit from increasing work visibility

POSTED ON MARCH 28, 2019, THURSDAY

https://www.theborneopost.com/2019/03/28/sarawaks-og-to-benefit-from-increasing-work-visibility/

However, a few names have popped out on our radar with relatively high short-term shortfalls including Icon Offshore Bhd, PN17’s Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd and Sarawakian Perdana Petroleum Bhd.

“For exposure, we continue to favour the petrochemical space such as Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd (Petronas Chemicals) and maintenance players such as Sarakian Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd (Serba Dinamik).

“Both have visible catalysts with the PIC project expected to increase current capacity by 14 per cent for Petronas Chemicals, while the record high orderbook at RM8.3 billion will continue to drive Serba Dinamik’s earnings growth in 2019.

“We also like Velesto Energy Bhd on a 12-month basis, although investors may want to consider taking profits ahead of expected lacklustre 1Q19E results, but nevertheless we are still optimistic on its outlook with jack-up rig demand expected to double in 2019.

“The HuCC/MCM players are also a preferred exposure in the O&G space this year on the back of recovering work visibility – with potential beneficiaries including Carimin Petroleum Bhd, Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd, and Petra Energy Bhd.

“Based on our ground checks, offshore support vessels (OSVs) are seeing a slight recovery in charter rates; however, we also noted that more OSVs are slowly being rolled out after being previously cold stacked.”

myeg is a gem - blockchain is picking up

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/my-say-make-my-palm-oil-great-brand

As a result, olive oil is one of the most adulterated food products in the world. In 1981, more than 600 people died in an epidemic that spread across Spain. “Olive oil”, adulterated with industrial colza oil (from rapeseed), was blamed. In 2016, The New York Times warned, “Much of the extra-virgin Italian olive oil on the market is not Italian or virgin.”

To protect this high-value oil from fraud, Spain is introducing blockchain technology to trace all stages of extra virgin olive oil production and distribution.

hmm..interesting corrective action...

low interest rate encourages money flow from bank to equity..and spending....it acts as a stimulus..

but has weakening effect on currency if economy does not grow in line....

high interest rate has the opposite effect...it scoops money back to the banks..

it can strengthen the currency if growth in economy is still high with a high interest rate...

guess the currency is like the rope between equity market and banks...

something like playing kites i guess..you cant pull or let go too much

to maintain the currency strength against world / USD

1998 won't happen so easily anymore

It was so terrifying because wrong policy was adopted to cure the economic illness - The kwailos taught us to raise interest rate during economic downturn

When Mahathir finally realised the mistake and reversed course to cut interest rate (after pegging RM), things started normalising

Philip don't forget Time is the friend of a wonderful company, the enemy of the mediocre. Not sure if we are even mediocre now, patience when applied wrongly can be disastrous. Look at Sapura Energy, from RM 4 to now barely 35 cents. This concept can be applied to countries as well, afterall countries are just companies operating on a larger scale and more complex structures.

Dayang: I should not worry about its daily price movement

ByKoon Yew YinPosted on March 28, 2019

As you know, I have posted a few buy recommendations on Dayang and I have already used up all my money to buy it. I don’t have any more money to buy. I should not worry about its daily price movement. The closing price for today was Rm 1.38 with only 17 million shares transacted which is a healthy sign. It means that the rich institutional investors could not buy many shares at cheaper prices.

As soon as they rush to buy more aggressively, the price will shoot higher. I believe it will go higher and higher and reach my target price of Rm 3.00 sooner or later.

It is useless to worry about its daily price movement. If it drops a few sen, I don’t have money to buy and if goes up a few sen, I am not going to sell. In any case, whether it drops or goes up it does not matter to me.

I am planning to go to UK to spend time with my children and grandchildren.

Dear all,
Be careful of what you wish for. A government of UMNO+ PAS is a government of racist, bigot and religion extremist. What choice do we have now?

PH overpromised and under delivered that is the un-denied fact and many of our Ministers/MB are pure incompetent and playing the same racial and religion card of UMNO+PAS.
But if Malaysians gave up as easily as that, we would never have achieved the success of May 9, 2018. Our work of rebuilding Malaysia is only half-finished. Democracy/rebuilding is not accomplished as soon as the election is over.

We still have a lot of work to do to unite Malaysians and to move past racism and religious intolerance. Giving up now because of Tun Mahathir stubbornness who is in a hurry but who has to work with past legacy, inexperience or totally incompetent cabinet ministers, internal backstabbing and external big foreign force at play (US-China-EU) is show a lack of moral fibre and understanding of the many complexity of works need to be done. Please give Tun Mahathir two years and then see what DSAI can do.

Thank you

Firstly you need to ask:

is Malaysian GDP per capita good against others?

If yes, then secondly,

is the wealth distribution in the country fairly OK?

If the former itself is already bad, the latter cant help much also
....................................................................

i.e, no point lamenting on low salary....when the country is in deep-shit

News & Blogs

instead of making comparison based on salary ( a number), we should talk about the consumption power of current working class - as it gives better idea on their 'value' generation power

to say their consumption power is good or bad..you would need to compare yourself against others..say neighbouring countries..or the average of the world

Its like what is your ROIC against WACC? its exactly the same concept of 'çompetitive edge' of a business-or 'market value addition' of stocks

.............................

as such it all boils down to Malaysia's competitive edge against others...and fair distribution of wealth

those days we had natural resources to help (without much skills)...rubber, tin, then it was palm oil, we still have petroleum...

this was the edge we had against philippines, thailand..

despite not having these, singapore was forced to invest on competency of their workforce (skills) against others in providing services...

we have reasonable edge in providing technology based products & services against neighbouring countries now..you may probably say their pay scale is good

so, if one day you lose these edge...you can easily end up like venezuela...

the country has to constantly sharpen's its edge. i,e workforce skills...if you dont have natural resources to help

If Kenanga felt that the Q4 result cannot be sustained , why upgrade the target price ? Why Kenanga only focus on Q4 result and upcoming Q1 19 rather than the whole of 2018 and the whole of 2019 outlook ? The Q3 2018 revenue is almost the same as Q4 revenue . If Q4 revenue which consist of only lump sum revenue without the normal schedule rates , what about Q3 revenue which consist of both normal schedule rates of 127 million plus lump sum of 111 millions . Is this Q3 revenue which is " normal " sustainable ? IF Kenanga feel that Q1 2019 will have a more normalised revenue , then they should expect a RM 127 million schedule rate revenue in Q1 plus may be half of Q4 RM 269 million ( fair estimate ) lump sum . With such normalised revenues respectively , its Q1 total revenue will still be more than 300 million assuming the other marine charter revenue to be 50 million . Kenanga only state that the Q4 lump sum revenue is not sustainable , it did not mention the schedule rate and marine charter revenue is not sustainable . The way kenanga summarise its report give many an impression that Q1 2019 revenue will be much worsed than Q4 2018 without articulating why Q4 has zero schedule rate revenue which is abnormal and also assume that Q1 will also have zero schedule rate revenue which is totally abnormal and illogical .

if say the average hit rate of the TP or the direction of price movement over time enable one to make a return at cost of equity (whether via downgrade or upgrade TP)....

then perhaps IB have a little more credibility compared to Koon's magic formula in terms of providing better return rate

Perhaps - an analysis of 5 pages cannot match the evidence produced by a recent spike in earnings on the immediate future direction of the business / stock price
