Is there a conspiracy theory somewhere in KFM? After the announcement, everyone expects the price to dive beginning tomorrow. But who will be buying? Food for thought.

Any other likely horses besides Pos? After all, Pos is not known for it efficiency. Moreover, I don't think Alibaba is interested carrying other baggage, like postage for example.

To be fair, CPTeh had predicted that the share market would crash months ago and I presume would have sold all his shares by now. Now he has all the time in the world to watch and comment.

All the blah, blah, blah, especially when there is a sudden down turn. Think short term and you should be okay. Those who go long are just asking for trouble. Unless of course if you have gone in cheap, like in this case, at 1.20?

Good effort Calvin. The `right management' are the keys to DRB's success. Until then, there are better opportunities elsewhere.

Lay Hong just did the bonus, split and warrant exercises. After the adjustment in price, what now? If you were to look at its current p/e you would not hesitate to say that it is well over priced. What if it defies logic (fundamentals) and continue to rise (meaning to be sought after)? As andy87 mentioned in GKent's case, its price remained strong - post bonus issue. We have to be careful not to tar all freebies with the same brush.

In order to achieve their true potentials they have to drastically change their mindset to doing things, from top to bottom. From time to time I pay my bills at a certain POst Office. Each time I encounter the same teller at the counter, more engrossed in the monitor than to serving the customer. Just yesterday, I had to personally claim my COD parcel from Poslaju because their delivery guy claimed `there was no such address'. Where I live (well known condo) is about a kilometer from their office! As mentioned earlier, their potential to be a giant has and will always be there. Let's see if a tie-up with Alibaba will shake-up this giant.

Now just above RTO price. All approvals given. How the share price of REITEQ a.k.a. ROHAS performs from now will depend on their financials since the RTO was announced. If they have improved then it will be selling at a discount to the announced IPO price. Any insider info?

For your information, I was commenting on the authors of the above article who suggested that new government employees should contribute to their retirement, similar to their private sector counterparts' contribution to the EPF. They were ignorant of the fact that the former DO contribute monthly, except that it is not deducted from their salaries. Nothing more. I have no intention of being dragged into discussion on the government's ability to pay future retirement benefits because it is a worldwide problem facing both sectors. It is too gloomy a subject and inevitably, as popularly expressed, `the shit will hit the fans' in the distant future. The situation will not improve as long as central banks continue with their insane zero interest rate regime.

The US Presidental Elections sucks. The news media digs out whatever dirt they can on Trump and portray Hillary as an angel, where by right she should be disqualified and tried for treason. USA the land of the free? Free press, what a joke.

If I'm not mistaken, civil servants DO contribute towards their pension on retirement. Except the payment doesn't come from their salaries but from the Government towards their pension fund. The Government contributes 17% of their basis salary towards this fund. The actual salary of civil servants: basic + 17% of basic.

If Mark has a really good dish his partners will want a share in it, don't you agree? Even if they don't want to be actively involved, they can still be passive shareholders and enjoy the benefits? Was there a disagreement over Mark's new business venture? Let's wait and see.

Calvin, at this point in time, your humble ant should be your role model, to store rather than to splash. Investors should be advised that any investments should be on short term basis only. It will be crazy to go long now as a drastic reversal is expected to happen soon.

Calvin, thanks for your quick response. Safe haven in cash will depend on public preference. Mr. Pretcher was obviously refering to USD. If there is a migration (currently happening) to USD stocks/cash, our own currency may be in jeopardy with the outflow. Investment/speculation in shares still holds the highest attraction because of its volatility - it can make you rich or poor in an instant. In the local context, it will be a dream situation for cash rich companies like ICap.

Calvin, what will the ant store in anticipation of very hard times? What will it concentrate on? What will be its first choice for a safe haven, will it be in bonds, shares, real estate, commodities or currency (local or foreign)? Joseph in biblical times advised the Pharaoh to store grain, what should we store in present times?
