Ch, I had to get the forms from my remiser. Strange, even todate, still no forms. Tomorrow, I shall call Tricor to confirm whether my application's in order. I think this company will perform well in the future. The best is yet to come.

Murali, you are a crusader or what. If we invest without proper research and get burnt in the process, who is to blame but ourselves. If we are so naive as to follow recommendations blindly, we pay the price for our immaturity and greed. We get recommendations from every Tom, Dick and Harry all the time. If you personally feel that there are flaws in them, we would be beholden to you, to warn forummers here there and then, rather than make derogatory comments after the fact. Please don't take the easy route.

If you intend to invest in gold, go for gold coins (portable), better still in viable gold mine (Bornoil).

Risks are always there in any business venture. The important thing is to have the confidence to take such risks. Past experiences in running successful businesses will definitely narrow down the risks.

Jbond, all is still not lost yet for Seacera. Under 11MP, gov will promote Bumi companies, this WHOLLY owned Bumi company will profit from the sale of their tiles for gov projects. Don't forget their subsidiary in construction will also benefit. I think, around this price it is a steal. Nevertheless, please do your own research.

Give Calvin a break, the fat lady has yet to make her appearance. Who knows, unknown to us, she may have gone into retirement.

To be fair to Calvin, his recent `promotions' on Kbunai hinges on Najib this time around fulfilling his promise to help develop the resort, a promise he made in 10MP. If one looks at the price for the last 5 years, currently at 7 sen,it is already at near bottom (6 sen). Under the circumstances, it may be worthwhile taking a punt, but don't be greedy by throwing in your kitchen sink as well. Also, Tengku Faisal didn't mention Kbunai as a pump and dump counter.

TengkuFaisal, please continue your good work of trying to even out the playing field.

I believe TengkuFaisal is doing readers of i3investor a great service, irrespective of whether they are newbies or so called investors. We may call ourselves short, medium or long term investors, but the bottom line is to make money, if possible lots of it. In the process, greed may replace ethics and we may even take delight in trying to `beggar your neighbour'. Anyway, how many will heed his advice?

Hi Calvin! Your quote from the Bible that we are governed by the seasons. There is also in Genesis, about Joseph's prediction to the Phaeroh, of seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. Are you aware of Martin Armstrong and his Economic Confidence Model or ECM from which he forcasts the world and financial markets? (Google `Armstrong Economics'). Currently, there is a documentary entitled `The Forcaster' on his life, works and predictions, which is taking Europe by storm. Whatever he had predicted in the past have proven to be accurate. There is a big one (if not the mother of all his predictions) slated for 1st October 2015. With your knowledge of the Malaysian financial market, your comments will be of interest to readers of i3investor.

Calvin, I'm looking at another perspective on why Yellen will find it hard to raise interest rates.Wwhat I understand is that raising interest rates has the opposite effect of attempting to reduce inflation. With the increase in cost of funds, prices will have to go up in order to cover the higher cost of funds.
Yes, you wisely advised to follow the flow of money. With the current foreign debt crisis, money will tend to flow to safety, which in this case to US$. Increasing interest rate will not be a good idea.

Commodities have crashed and will take years to recover. Also with worldwide deflation on the cards, it will be unwise to invest in commodities. It will be a good idea to look up on the effects of deflation and plan your investments accordingly. Deflation can be considered a once in a lifetime experience. Think of 1929 and its effects. However, this time around, the USD will be the currency of choice - sorry Leno.

Isn't the usual remedy for inflation is to raise interest rates? Another reason for raising interest rates is when the RM is threatened. China, Japan and Thailand have reduced interest rates is because of the fear of deflation. Should there is an exodus of foreign funds, Malaysia will have no choice but to protect the RM and you'll see the interest rates shooting sky high - no matter who runs the government of the day. If that happens, we may have to experience capital controls again.
