Dear KC,
I can't seems to tally your figure in table 2 2015 & 2016 PPE & Proceeds from PPE against LB annual report. did you make an adjustment ?

The problem with the accounts of London Biscuits are often doggy. Their audited accounts were often different from what they first reported in the un-audited account. They even changed the financial year in 2016, given account for 15 months and hence would have been adjusted and blinded investors from seeing the true accounts etc. Hence some of my figures could have been from the un-audited account or previous original accounts.

Anyway, in investing, it is better to be approximately correct, rather than precisely wrong. It is an art as well as a science.

$ 320 million receivables, $ 200 million BA..........$ 9 million default is peanuts........

To be exact, short-term loan now is RM261m. I don't know what kind of accountant you have been as accountant needs not to be exact, no accountant would round up a figure of RM261m to RM200m.

Again the company failed to pay up RM9.83m, not only RM9m. If you wish to round up, it has to be RM10m, not RM9m, if you know about accounting, or simply arithmetic.

RM9.83 million debt is peanut, I do agree. But just imagine a peanut of RM9.83 million also could not pay, and got to the extend of PN17, I wonder what had happened to this company, which still has RM261m loan to be paid within a year, and another RM94m long-term debt to be fulfilled.

This is the 12th time I would like to ask you. Are you really an accountant?

Good one pjseow, I realized that with Sendai as well, where it's big order came from it's own CEO to build up the jack ship. Huge receivables from middle East but unable to collect causing huge liquidity problems.

This has the same characteristics as the subject of this article, albeit at a much bigger scale. If nothing improves in the very near future, it will go down to PN17 much faster than London Biscuits.

每年可贡献逾1亿令吉营运盈利(EBITDA)

A good estimate of what the Power Plant in Vietnam is worth for Jaks is the free cash flows for equity shareholders, FCFE, it can get from this development.

EBITDA is a good estimate for the cash flows from operations (CFFO) at the firm level which includes what is due to the equity shareholder, as well as the debt holder which is substantial. Yo still need to deduct finance cost to get the CFFO at the equity level, and then at least deduct maintenance capex to get FCFE.

FCFE, at in per share basis, from this power project is the only thing relevant to this project for Jaks, in my opinion.

With this piece of information at face value, one can work out what Jaks is worth for the equity shareholder. But certainly it is not like RM3.00 per share, far far from it, even if you consider Jaks will not have any more boo-boo in its local activities, as well as any new endeavor like it used to be, and that it doesn't have any debt like the high debt it is in now.

They are without doubt much better than many articles which often appear as "Top articles" in this i3investor forum, which are mostly, if not all, without any substance and purely for "goreng" purposes.

Readers here should appreciate good sharing from writer such as David Lim. But of course each has to do his own finding and analysis.

that is what u say, I didn't say that....

I did write a few articles, if u want to be rich like KY, u got to be like KYY, not afraid to sailang and margin when the opportunity presents itself.

In the two years in 2017 and 2018 when both Jaks and Sendai were heavily promoted by someone when they were trading above RM1.50 and RM1.20 respectively, you have been asking the masses and newbies to sailang and margin on Jaks and Sendai, using your apa ini Panic moment, penis point, dynamite investing, etc. Go and read back what you have written. There were all over i3investor. You talked about nothing else except sailang and margin on Jaks and Sendai for the whole of two years. Are these your so-called quality stocks, something you just know it by experience?

[Posted by qqq3 > Jun 14, 2019 4:28 PM | Report Abuse

Yes, there were also many PLP comments, so much so that someone was drunk with too much kool-aid that he lost more than two hundred million, all realized on the two stocks, and you claimed that you made a killing on the two stocks. And yet, on the surface, he was happy to be associated with you.

You only know talking nonsense in the forums, and nothing about investment. There is no evidence at all in what you write that you know anything at all in investing.

Quoted from Seth Klarman...never blindly to be contrarian, betting whatever is out of favor to be restored. often, investments are disfavored for good reason..
investors must consider the possibility that recovery may not occur. it is also important to gauge the psychology of other investors. how far along is the curren trend? how much further it may go? what are the driving forces?
being extremely early is tantamount to being wrong. conclusion, contrarian need to understand the psychology of other investors.

A good contrarian statement above.

Understand the psychology of other investors is important. But more important, one must have the knowledge and very confident in his contrarian approach.

The most important is he must be right. This is where a calculator is necessary.

This KC only know how to talk and write and keep writing but come to real action, he earn peanut or lose until left underwear.. I dont understand why this KC need to condemn uncle Koon to earn more tuisten fees.. Haha haha

John Lu, Let me teach you some good lessons about life.

A person with good virtue in life is not measured by how much money he makes in the stock market, what car he drives, what house and where he lives, and how many millions he has in his bank accounts, or investment accounts, but how he behaves and carries himself, honesty, credibility, and his contributions to the society, financial or non-financial.

A person who "earn peanut or lose until left underwear" or has to "earn more tuisten fees." shouldn't be condemned too as he does no wrong to the society, but instead he contribute positively to the society by teaching them the right ways of investing so that they won't lose their pants to the manipulators of the stock market. You will alble to see it if you open up your mind.

Like I have said, you can idolize anyone you like, it is your prerogative, but another good lesson for you, you need to learn some good behavior, habits and the right belief in life, in order to be successful financially and spiritually, the later is more important. But as your age now, I don't think you are young anymore, it may be tough to change. One way is to seek some spiritual guidance. You need it.

My advice to you is free, no "tuisten" fee.

People who bought from me at 42 is better than me.........and if KC had sailang and margin Sendai at 42 as I suggested, I shall not disturb him any more.

What a stupid statement above! And from a 60+ years old "accountant"?

The stock market is filled with people who know the price of everything but the value of nothing.

Sendai is very good to me...I am sitting on 15% profits, not selling yet until I come back from holidays.

On October 8 2018 when the above post was made, Sendai was trading at about 80 sen apiece. At 15% profit, it means the cost was about 70 sen a piece.

Do the statements above tally with the statement made on Oct 8 2018 below?

Dayang's story ended:-
The ending of Dayang n Carimin showed they were pure PnD stocks.
Like many, they r rebounding from the BIG bear NOW.
Might want to consider taking profit or take out all at:
Dayang >= 109
Carimin >= 77.5
PnD stocks always stay in Primary level space only.
They don't have the ability or capacity to upgrade into Secondary level.
They all failed at Std 6 !
THIS IS WHO TO BLAME:-
Like in hengyuan, dayang fell due to creation of 1 time OVERSIZE Q profit by U know who:

I still remember vividly very recently how you praised the entry of super investor into Dayang, and the numerous articles you wrote about how undervalued is Dayang, even at RM1.50, RM1.70.You even criticize people who had different opinion as you.

What happened? Why such a fast turnaround?

Kc, dont push your luck too far, always condemn uncle Kyy on his pick for your own benefit.. U such a low life charactor
U know, i know and everyone here know his intention.. Low life

I have written 365 articles in i3investor so far. Which article, or which part of any article make any reference to the personality of anyone? Which article, or part of any article "condemn" the character of anyone?

Respect is high up in our Chinese culture, everyone should be respected, not only rich people, or old people. Hence we should not condemn anybody, whether he is rich, young or old, handsome or ugly.

But high respect is earned, not given, in my opinion.

If you wish to idolize anyone you wish to, go ahead, but don't look at others with a tinted pair of glasses.

If you view the content of this article with ill intention, it is your problem, not mine, or others.

Recall the writer mentioned in previous article on Dayang, that he own shares in Dayang, correct me if wrong.
If true, isnt it appropiate to highlight a standard disclosure note ?

Dear Admin of i3investor,

Do you have "a standard disclosure note" that a normal contributor of educational article must be made before publishing an article in i3investor?

Please clarify as I have already contributed a total of 365 articles in i3investor, but have not made any disclosure.

Questioning kc value investing is also a contrarian method. Just like questioning otb sure win method. Make no money but prevent money being lost. That is a start of one own investment journey. More in depth one.

That is right. Have an inquisitive mind. Never follow blindly anybody.

On the surface, the balance sheet of Sendai appears weak, but on closer examination, we all know it is due to the tug boats ordered by an affiliated company with $ 500 million outstanding in the balance sheet. The problem can be identified. And when the problem is resolved?

A "tug boat" generally cost a few hundred thousands USD. Many are worth just tens of thousands, and very few cost more than USD1 million. How come Sendai is owed RM500m for two "tug" boats? You don't even know what your company is doing?

I own a public listed company with 70% shares in the company. I get the company to build two houses for me for rental purposes. One house has been complected more than a year ago and I am collecting rental for more than a year. The other, after years of construction, it is still going on. But I don't pay the public company what the company has done for my two houses.

You don't see any problem? Nothing at all?

That is why you have lost your underwear punting on Sendai from RM1.40 to 60 sen.

Still in denial? How to become a 200 millionaire?

Can! Go to live in Indonesia.

its some kind of boat that took up $ 500 million in the balance sheet...........

The construction of the lift boats for the private company of the major shareholder of Sendai started some time in 2014, of which the first one completed last year and appears to have rented out and earning revenue for the private company. But they don't pay Sendai for over RM500m now and its balance sheet is so precarious that the company can go bankrupt any time now.

You have no concern at all having mst of your money in this company?

You still ask people to sailang here sailang there, margin here margin there?

What is your motive?

kc
sendai...............40 sen to $ 1.40 between Sept 2016 and June 2017 also want to complain.....now back to 40 sen also want to complain......go buy Sendai lah.......I think its a good one at this price...sailang and margin if you want........

But did you ask people to buy when it was 40 sen and then went up to RM1.40, or the other way round?

Ask me to sailang and margin Sendai now? Good advice. But please answer the question below first so that I can make an informed decision.

""By the way, can tell us why after so many years, the debts on your ""tug boat"" still not paid? Isn't that a big headed devil there? But with this big-headed devil, why did you pestered others to sailag here and sailang there, margin here and margin there?""

kc.....the problem with Sendai is collection for the two tug boats.....if they had collected for the two tug boats, the situation is totally different.....

Are you sure Sendai build ""tug boat""? You asked people to sailang her sailang there, margin here margin there, but you don't even know what Sendai does? OMG!

But the nonpayment was precisely the balance sheet was bloated resulting its low Z Score. That is also how Z-Score can catch that there and useful in the assessment of its bankruptcy risk. Yes, you don't even have to know what Sendai does to know the big problem there.

By the way, can tell us why after so many years, the debts on your ""tug boat"" still not paid? Isn't that a big headed devil there? But with this big-headed devil, why did you pestered others to sailag here and sailang there, margin here and margin there?
