with so many project cancel, why foreign fund want to come into construction sector?
geary Foreign funds haven't really come in yet. Probably after the World Cup in Russia. Plus uncertainty in our Malaysian GDP n governance. We shall see...GL.

It's construction + property bro, cannot look at NTA loh...strong balance sheet? so so lah, by construction company standard, considered good la...business model too much reliance on gov project already...
geary GADANG...just look at its business model...you can probably use the NTA or book value as guideline. Strong balance sheet...plus high return of Invested Capital n Dupont ROE. This one is okay for longer term. But use your common sense n Investment target. TQ

WHAT? 16% IS PEANUT LAH...HAHAH..
"Due to uncertainty in the current government’s policies, a lot of stocks have taken a huge beating. For example, Sunway Construction’s stock price has declined 16% from its height of RM2.39 per share before the election to RM1.99 at last trading day."

for those dividend yield seeker, i correctly predicted pwroot dividend is not sustainable. so what the management do? bonus issue....kikiki.....with enlange share base, it make it harder to declare good dividend per share in future....i predict pwroot no longer attractive to dividend yield investor in future.....

DON'T SAY I HORSE BEHIND CANNON. LOOK BACK AT MY COMMENT BELOW....IT IS SPOT ON !!!
lizi their sales in oversea is achieved at the expense of heavy promotional cost. at the moment their margin drops significantly to 5.5% only. i expect dividend reduction soon.
they really need to control the escalating raw material cost, promotional cost and admin cost.

icon, yes, plywood sales command better margin than logs sales. that's why cm want to benefit more local wood producers. i am saying pworth log sales segment will see reduce profit margin since it now have to sell locally. unless you tell me pworth themselves eat up all the logs they cut to produce more plywood on top of their existing one.

Roughly right but u have to remember, export sales is more lucrative than local sales. USD $$$
WiseTrade Read the article properly, the export ban was imposed to ensure sufficient supply of material for local factories. This simply means that the demand for timber is too high and supply is too low so they need to re-evaluate whether they should keep selling to foreign country or sell locally. Basically telling you guys the demand > supply, thus the business future prospect is looking very bright. Export ban or no ban, doesn't matter to pworth because their timber is still being bought by someone just locally instead of by foreigner.
