management that extract dividend from internal cash flow are acceptable for me. But as you mentioned, we also need to see this cash flow are sustainable or not. Yes, dividend would forgo more opportunity to further reinvestment, but most of the time management lavish them.

warren buffet simply do not like fixed assets who don't generate income like commodities, there's huge differences when an asset can keep generate income for you vs commodities who don't generate income at all. In among assets which generate income, stocks equity come to the first place for him because of the growth potential, unlike bonds. Do you have any ideas how the power of compounding power can be? If one prefer something, let him be. You can stick with your preferable investment like commodities, but don't accuse people out of the air. He has already proven very much in his age what he is doing is right, no need conspiracy and trick & fool people in order to make himself rich.

at least we know production line only utilised at rate of 60%, when demands come back there will be huge opportunities. with safeguard policy, reducing of raw materials..... i can't see why there's still huge margin of safety

It's been a long time Malaysia used to be an export oriented industry. These export business do not intend to rely on favorable currencies to earn money, period. The fact is Malaysia has only roughly 30million population, the world is still too big. Why constrain yourself from finding more opportunities?

around 200million gloves capacity currently, how much do comfort to expand in order to breach rm 1billion market cap? compare to its peers, you will have the answer.

CKCS, the depreciation amount contributed per quarter is already 15million. Evergreen has very strong cashflow to pay its debt, they certainly have the ability to pay off all the debts within a year if they want to. You need to see beyond from accounting net profit, to its non cash items & cash flow and its cash on hand right now. Healthy balance sheet and strong cash flow, i would say.
2017-04-10 16:23 | Report Abuse
Yes stockraider, evergreen should be undervalue even we exclude future earnings.
2017-04-10 12:44 | Report Abuse
Hevea and evergreen both good, no need to quarrel and condemn each other.

The best is 30% margin of safety with good growth prospect intact. Otherwise put FD patiently wait also good for retailers, since they can wait unlike institutions. The worst thing is those who pay huge premium without any margin of safety, just because they do not have patience to wait and collect at low price.
Posted by stockmanmy > Apr 7, 2017 11:52 AM | Report Abuse
and in fact the biggest handicap for retail investors is the 30% margin of safety........left got devil, right got ghost, ask them to put in FD la.
popo92 > Apr 7, 2017 11:44 AM | Report Abuse
In fact, the biggest advantage for retailers over big players institution is choosing small cap stocks.

must clear off those who don't have patience first, then....

Buying Jaks at 40sen is very risky while considering many good factors are not revealed yet but you may have high return if things really worked out, buying Jaks at Rm1.00 is a good decision since there's margin of safety with future prospect and reasonable pricing, buying Jaks at rm1.70 now is way overvalue by paying too much premium with price & time.

If OTB is so stressful becoz of subscription fees, then he must be a very responsible man with strong integrity isn't?

Stockmanmy, you already said yourself 3rs are right business, right people and right price. We have never seen you writing any proper way to discuss right people management, right pricing to evaluate any companies. All you want to emphasis is business senses and your right timing. Everyone has his point of view which is really a good thing, but why can't you be more generous and respectul to others? Cmon, you can be nice.

shares prices will pick up with earnings going forward.. don't worry that much
2017-03-31 09:13 | Report Abuse
if jaks share price went up to 1.90, mr koon is more desperate than you to dispose. There is a big differences to buy stock to keep from buying stock to sell, at higher prices. Who want to catch the ball? i am not saying jaks prospect were not good, just saying sometimes big buyers that apparently not so long term investors are not a good thing. If there's bigger buyers or institution, then risks can be dismiss..
2017-03-30 20:26 | Report Abuse
can you imagine if jaks turn out bad and no one want to eat mr koon shares? mr koon will definitely try to hold the price without patience. Do not underestimate the double sword of margin finance....
2017-03-24 22:02 | Report Abuse
mr koon also dispose some of his canone, i think he don't have too much option since he bought so many jaks... ALL BY CREDIT... margin finance down risk is that even company earnings and prospect is good, shares price performance might not follow...

Cheap bargain... at around 2 per share is grossly undervalued compare to 3 main peers. Further, supermax expansion plan is the most exciting one in my opinion... left one question, is the premium market paying for gloves industry match future growth?

When you take all figures and numbers out and you don't look at details, its gonna cost you a lot. The fact is financial analysis need details on company movement. Let's take an example High gearing is because of acquisition of F&B business and also kianjoo. Are these business deal worth it? I try not to be bias. Recent year, there's interest buyer of kianjoo from aspire insight (3.30) and Toyota Tsusho Corp (3.74) and canone rejected them. At the first place, borrowings to buy kianjoo can be solve easily. Secondly, how much kianjoo actually worth? Is kianjoo providing enough return for canone? EPF is giving a very high valuation to buy canone F&B business too. How do you rate this deal? Again, look at past financial analysis of 11 year doesn't make any business sense at all. We all know, F&B milk division weren't wholly owned back then, Kianjoo weren't purchase as well. Problems you should really finding out is are these deals worth, are they generating cash flow to canone now and in future? PE for past history are baseless, quality to generate future PE is what we are looking for..

Honestly three company also good. Liihen stable and generous, hevea done a big effort turnaround these few years now cash rich and paying higher dividend, latitude a bit stingy but cash rich and great cash flow cheapest in valuation.

First level thinking: property and construction sector is slowing down revenue will go down.
Second level thinking: my analaysis tell me that gross margin will increase compare before q2, this company will be profitable.
Common sense thinking: oh wait, buying this company is still cheap right now even with market weak demand and sales.
