i dont understand how a RM5billion turnover company can only issue a RM1.1m profit for the quarter, and worse show negative operating cashflow of RM411m..... looks like they are paying holding company advances which shows large negative trade creditors outflow, rather than paying dividend..... former helps main shareholders hmmm

hibiscus is amazing, in the last 2 qtrs it earned 12.72 and 12.71c per quarter, and annualised thats 4.8x PER !!! which is so low, brent was in the range of 82-86/bbl.... well now its averaging about 81-82 but still respectable. The production of oil can only increase hereon.... so much much potential for this little flower

calvin..... let me comment on the few pointers you have raised 1) you talk about plantation counters being taken private, last minute price increase and you are so happy as if you predicted it? well u did not predict it just so happened that these counters are so lowly valued that the owners taken them private, so key message here is counters are valued lowly, 2) you talk about land banks, share priceis not about land bank, share price if Tsh is about business of making money from palm oil, therefore you need to prove they are increasing planation size or increasing yield, only then share price will move up..... it will not move up because it has large land banks??? 3) palm oil counters come under food industry, there is many many substitutes to palm oil so nothing to shout about....... you talk about palm oil companies in nigeria going thru bull run, well show prove.... u just talk without prove. But i shd mention that palm oil just like many stable counters do offer good dividend returns but they are onlt good dividend returns there is no material price appreciation.... 4) while u keep promoting Tsh and land banks, there are so many counters out there that is making money paying dividend and price increasing and you are missing out on these opportunities... 5) u say statements like 70% of indonesian palm oil will be used as biodiesel where u got this from show proof .... and how does this statement help Tsh share price increase??? ...... you ned to do some soul searching buddy, honestly i admire you resiliance and tenacity but its misplaced, all these energy of yours can be put to better use..... cheers calvin and :-) peace

@calvintaneng ..... i think the other counters u are promoting dufu and likes they are fine, but again i see lack of detailed analysis in your conclusions, and as for ytl power the growth is due to very clear reasons, organic growth and also M&A, its PER is about 12x now andlots of room for further growth...... but Tsh has no growth story to tell, just holding land in the jungle alone is not enough, there must be plan to convert this to palm oil ..... try to build some credibility on your side, spend some time do proper research rather then hearsay...... and lastly stop promoting oil palms shares and expect exponential growth, its not there ..... its food sector industry, india and china will never let palm oil price increase in 3 or 4 times..... theer are many substitutes..... :0-) peace buddy

@calvintaneng .... why do you say things like this,,, Tsh one day will rise to RM5.00?? What is your analysis what is the basis (one off land sale and one off profits do not drive share price.... but sustainable organic or M&A will drive share price)? 2 years ago I see you here saying same thing.... now is 2 years forward. TSH is in a steady palm oil business, there is no super duper profit to be made.... the current PER of 18-20x is also very high already. Why do you keep harping on Tsh and also oil palm counters? Whats your incentive? What drives you to do this? Are you getting paid to promote? Help everyone out here pls..... :-) peace

Amazingly alam has reported a 18.5m profit, against YoY loss of 11m, and QoQ profit of 2.7m..... but part of the 18.5m profit is an exceptional items gains of 15m that seems to be a one off gain perhaps sale of assets? Otherwise the profit is only 3.5m..... not all that impressive, but on the road to recovery.... surely the current share price is unjustified :-)

power issue - Located 30km from Singapore in the Iskandar region of Johor, the YTL Green Data Center Park will be powered by a 500MW solar farm, offering diversity in power and connectivity on a large industrial site, of which 275 acres will be dedicated towards data centre development
water issue - just bought over Ranhill, which owns the water rights in Johor..... once the corruption allegations and any wrong doings are weeded out, next step will be to increase capacity and improve services lastly....
maybe even revive the 1,000-1,400MW combined cycle power plant project that YTLP pulled out in 2014 along with TNB after cronyism direct awarding allegations surfaced.... :-) peace

on the subject of HSR .... i can gladly say not to worry for YTL shareholders, today YTL is the closest msian company to the actual with regards to experience, YTL runs the (only) ERL link (high-speed 57- kilometre KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services between KL Sentral Station and KLIA), and electrified double track project from gemas to JB..... YTL is the closest to the actual HSR in terms of experience, that being said HSR is a huge project that will most probably be carved out nevertheless, rest assured YTL will have its portion, if not the largest portion which will be from melaka onwards to JB (to say the least).... that explains the focus of YTL/YTLP in Johor..... and all these is being conducted via SIPP Energy - which is a YTL 70% subsidiary..... and who is SIPP? This i will leave you to your research (plain to say its owned by THE man himself, the numero uno in Johor.... and very recently elected to numero uno of Malaysia) ... :-) peace

interesting to read many of the comments here especially on LKT's salary package and @Riaz1954 @mushimushi .... but what LKT is doing is well within his rights as the owner of the Group and all approved by the BOD, and this is not new its been there for ages.... the question is why do minority shareholders still place high trust in the company then? This u shd ask yourselves.... in my audit days I have covered genting AGMs, and believe me the company makes it so hard to attend it and the pastries offered are worse than the mamaks :-) heeee..... also the sessions are held at menara genting, and do you know that menara genting parking has no maximum fee..... if you park 2 hours its like RM30, 5 hours its like RM90..... if you park overnight can reach RM400-450.... hahaha well thats their trick, so against minority shareholders attending AGM.... but yet people invest in genting, so the question beckons WHY??

PAT decreased to RM677.9 million from RM930.9 million in the previous corresponding period, lower by 27.2% or RM253.0 million. This decrease was primarily due to foreign exchange translation loss and tax expenses recognised in the current quarter. QoQ saw increase in PAT by RM153m which is good.... overall I would say satis factory performance.... any drop is share price is good time for re-entry due to its huge potential ahead but to me mindful of the manjung plant outage (loss of RM400m revenue per annum)... cheers

Check out the Corp Proposal : The buyer — AirAsia Group or NewCo — will take over the listing status of AAX, and hence hold both the acquired AirAsia operations, and the long haul business currently under AAX. Capital A has also proposed to distribute 73.33% of the NewCo shares to its shareholders via capital reduction (RM2.2 billion worth, based on transaction price of RM1.30 apiece). So there will be capital reduction.
An entitled Capital A shareholder would receive up to 397 NewCo shares for each 1,000 Capital A shares held, depending on Capital A’s shares based on the entitlement date. Capital A plans to obtain Bursa Securities approval for the sale of its aviation business in June, and to announce its Practice Note 17 (PN17) regularisation plan that same month. ...... I just wonder what will be CapA's revenue and business model moving ahead then, since it has sold off its business to NewCo? Hmmm..... perhaps just div income? I guess just need to wait till june to find out....

The average water tariff in Johor for the first 35 m3 per month will increase by 22.9%, equivalent to RM0.29 per m3 .... this started on either Jan or Feb 2024, its only initial stage.... over the months this increase will be seen in the improved profits... not to mention the increased consumption coming from DCs and general population increase. ok ok putting all these numbers, and lease liabilities etc etc...... AA is the best low budget airlines in the world, I have many options to choose for flights, but end up with AA as its cheap :-) LOL .... and service is not all that bad (what do you expect if paying cheap, as long as plane dont fall off sky)..... covid put a spanner into AA works, and today they are recovering..... travel is booming, airports printing money (recently Khazanah, EPF, GIP, ADAI made general offer for MAHB - what does it say??) and banks are lining up to provide financing what else as an investor do you need ??? But I will agree that "time" is the cost here..... shd I put my money in AA or YTLP (LOL).... which will give me the expected returns over "time" as recovery takes "time" and do you have the "time".... sometimes I wish there was a price for time..... as then I can "buy" time..... p/s :buying time-telekom is not the same:-) cheers.....
