http://www.investopedia.com/articles/04/021704.asp

Not a Dato or Datin, but here's some info about Warrant.
Understand that warrant is a high risk high return tool.
Use it right, you can make some great gains. Use it wrong, it's a weapon of mass wealth destruction.
To invest in warrant, what recommended are: 1. the company of your choice must have solid fundamentals - must pass most of FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS METRICS, 2. Must not be too close to expiry, 3. Premium must not be too high, 4. Understand the gearing - risk vs reward ratio.

YOU MUST TAKE CARE OF ALL DOWNSIDE FIRST BEFORE THINKING OF MAKING GAINS, OTHERWISE WARRANT CAN DESTROY YOUR WEALTH.
If you are still unsure on how warrant works after reading the article, you can try learn from KCChongnz in i3investor. Just search for his name, he has an article about it if i recalled.

THank you good Samaritan @Ezra_Investor

may i check with u pls?

for example:

Type: CALL WARRANTS
Sector: TRADING/SERVICES
Listing Date: Jan 15, 2016
Maturity Date: Oct 31, 2016
Issue Size: 50,000,000
Exercise Price: MYR 2.77
Ratio: 2 : 1
Underlying Stock: POS
Avg Volume (4 weeks): 526,450
4 Weeks Range: 0.02 - 0.185
52 Weeks Range: 0.02 - 0.185

1)for this warrant, Exercise Price: MYR 2.77 Ratio: 2 : 1 means wat ?

2) if unlucky need to exercise the warrant, 1 share need to pay how much including all the charges?

Posted by Ezra_Investor > 2016-03-22 13:37 | Report Abuse

Call Warrant (C) and Put Warrant (H) works differently than normal Warrant (W). I do not recommend Call and Put as they are more suitable for trading and not for investing. Please read the link above for detailed explanation.

Exercise price means the money you need to add-on to exercise to mother share. Eg. current call warrant price is 0.02, you will need to add 2.77 to exercise to become mother share.

As I'm not well versed in call/put warrant, I'm not too sure about ratio 2:1. But in normal warrant, ratio 1:1 means 1 warrant can be exercised to 1 mother share. Better consult your brokerage for more information and clarification.

MY ROI almost 120% per year while invested to oversea. I also help my friends to manage their fund by sharing profit....i will only invest in local when i got insider news...lol

Stock investment isn't the only way to go. You could also try fixed deposit and unit trust. You can read more tips in this handy beginner's guide to investing in Malaysia: http://www.comparehero.my/blog/beginners-guide-investing-malaysia

oldd,
For good dividends, buy Apollo(500 shares), Perstim (500 shares), HaiO (1000 shares) and SAM (400 shares). For Net Asset Value, buy icap(1000 shares). Disclosure: I have these shares bought lower than current prices.

I'm a foreign national. Is it possible for me to do trades in KLSE ? Rather than going for NASDAQ, NYSE, AMEX, I think its' easy and supportive to do in Malaysia itself. Appreciate if someone could guide me through the local brokers and other needful data.
