TM and TNB signed a MOU to explore sharing of fiber optic cable line to reduce expenses under NFP on early 2018 in line with MCMC to reduce internet charges. TNB have 12000 km fiber optic cable line mainly installed on its high voltage lines of 275KV and 132KV, very little at the 11KV, which are essentially the connection to homes, or commonly known in the telecoms industry as the last mile connectivity.

Opcom price up from 33 sen to RM 1.00 within year 2018 on NFP. Opcom price up from 45 sen on Aug2019 to 82 sen on Oct2019 on NFCP news , with Tun son is resigned on all positions in opcom price already factor those in.

Digitalise infras RM 50.3 billion ( include NFCP RM 21.6 billion ) .
TNB as Project Manager on NFCP pilot run in Jasin is successfully completed, now is expand to whole Melaka scheduled be complete by March’2020 with 8 registered retail service providers: Maxis, Digi, Celcom, Astro, Umobile...

Fiber optic cable line :

In terms of fibre, TNB alone has over 12,000 km across the nation and it has 9.2 million customers. If its fibre and poles are given access to and if it is technically viable, large parts of the nation can have fast broadband. TM has its own poles for connectivity.

Besides that, TM has over 54,000 km of fibre deployed globally, Time dotCom Bhd over 7,000 km running along the North South Expressway.

Others with fibre include Fiberail Sdn Bhd (owned by TM, KTM and Petrofiber Network (M) Sdn Bhd) with 4,800 km running along the railway tracks; Fiberail (owned by TM and TNB) has 110,000 km across Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah. There is also about 1,000 km of fibre on federal roads.

Other players like Sacofa has its own fibre optic network in East Malaysia, and the three major cellular players, Celcom Axiata Bhd, Digi.Com Bhd and Maxis Bhd , have similar infrastructure but it is mainly for their cellular networks.

5) TM is signed MOU with Huawei on 5G , not Ericsson.

FY16 +RM7 mil , FY17 +RM7.2 mil , FY18 +RM6.7 mil , FY19 +RM0.5 mil , FY20(2Q) -RM1.5 mil ,

If you are looking for a short term profit on this, the time to buy is now. Today's bottom is just about where the support level of the up-trend channel is with a resistance level of 0.80. If it gets past 0.80 then you are looking at the stars. In the mean time you could get in now & get out in the middle of the channel at maybe 0.750 & still make a decent short term profit. Only my opinion, please do your own analysis.
