Cancer patient commits suicide by jumping from 4th floor of Kuantan hospital

KUANTAN: A cancer patient was found dead near the main lobby of the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) here on Sunday, believed to have jumped from the fourth floor of the building.

The 55-year-old patient, who was found at 2.25am lying face down and covered in blood, is believed to have been undergoing treatment at the HTAA since Wednesday.

"The deceased's wife claimed that her husband had been suffering from stage four thyroid cancer for the past year and often went to HTAA for chemotherapy. He was also understood to have complained of severe headaches over the past few days.

"So far, we believe the deceased jumped from the hospital building based on the broken branches and twigs on his body," said Kuantan district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Noor Yusof Ali.

He said the remains of the deceased, from Sri Jaya, Maran near here, were sent to the HTAA Forensic Department. - Bernama

The 1st quarter 2021 should be announced at the end of this month. But from the past records, for year end 2018 and year end 2019, the 1st QR of the consecutive years has been announced on the day when they conducted AGM.

This year, Year end 2020, AGM on 23.12, therefore the earliest 1st quarter QR 2021 will be announced on 23.12.2021.
