PUTRAJAYA: Allowing private companies to sell Covid-19 vaccines may encourage “queue cutting” and the emergence of fake vaccines, says Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said for that reason, the procurement of Covid-19 vaccines will strictly be between the government and the producers only.

“The government is given the responsibility to deal with the producers of Covid-19 vaccines directly to procure them.

“No private companies have been given the licence to sell them and to commercialise them. We (the government) may use private hospitals to administer the Covid-19 vaccines for their patients, but we are the ones who give it to them.

“This ensures the vaccines are given free of charge.

“The fear is that if we allow commercialisation of the vaccines, there will be queue cutting, and fake vaccines may emerge, ” said Dr Noor Hisham during a virtual engagement session with the media on Friday (Feb 26).

Dr Noor Hisham disagreed when asked if allowing private companies to give out Covid-19 vaccines will help speed up the national immunisation programme and achieve herd immunity faster.

“The producers sell directly to the government, not top private companies. We do not want this to cause the rich to get the vaccines while the poor do not, ” he said.

Company has scatter gun approach lots supposed new in Income streams which are not a reality ...for example hotel,quarantine ...this is already available, private vaccination will not be allowed...testing also suspect. The real inner is probably GST when it happens and if m get the contract.

For investors just a timely reminder a bonus issue is not like a dividend payment ...value of share before and after remains same! Only difference you have more shares but value does not change, price is reduced by the factor of news shares.

Bonus issue means divided is maintained in the company helping with cash flow where as shareholders get extra shares but value remains same...there is no dilution as all shareholders get the same level,of bonus scoring to numbers if share held!

another company without any vision of the future ? diversify into too many non core ventures will lead to demise if not careful ! Mr wong should concentrate on expanding the scope of the outlets to cater for more rakyat related needs rather than corporate deals ! Many services managed by the lack of initiatives agencies should be looked at by MyEG. They have many outlets which can be used as postboxes for the courier services as well ? Expand your services MyEG otherwise you will get EGG on your face ! Hahahahah !

Results close of play....share price movement who knows....results ok, but as good as expectations...lot of activities / project undertaken which may nit have material impact ...the big one when it comes is....GST...this is matter of time and not if...Malaysia PLc has no option most of the world uses VAT...will MyEG get the contract? It may be worth keeping some longt term holding here..
