KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Nasir, chairman of CIMB, has admitted that it received approximately US$7 million (approximately RM2.75 million) in funds from his brother, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Naji Razak Bank account and transferred the proceeds to the bank account political figures for the ruling party.

Nasir confirmed that he received the money from the account in Najib, and transferred the money to the accounts of the political figures of the ruling party through the staff of CIMB Bank.

He confirmed the matter to the Wall Street Journal in writing and stated that this was handled according to the instructions of the party leaders.

He believes that this money comes from donations and is a donation that he helped to raise funds from Malaysian companies and individuals for general election purposes. However, it is unclear whether there are other sources in the money.
