Yongch, do you think if China CEO not allowed to become proton CEO, he can take the post of geely CEO administrator particularly on geely cars nothing to do with proton. British sports car is 100% owned by geely. This will ease the issue of proton to carry on their old habits. Income and expenditure on it's own. Govt grant release to proton R &D as promised. Geely partnership to take over lotus with funds inject into lotus and geely cars. This could overcome the issue of control over the poor performance of proton all these years. The burden of losses mainly due to lotus not proton cars from the past mistakes.

Maybe this is a scare tactic. Like earlier, opposition make noise we selling our National Car Asset to China. Than Geely Boss say, deal off. Than on back again, this time opposition to the deal all quiet. Now, announce new CEO Chinese National, again people make noise, why not Bumi CEO etc. So scare tactic again, say deal off, before you know it, the Chinese National from Honda China will be the new CEO and all will keep quiet. To me, get the best person for the job, doesn't matter from which part of the world he/she come from.

More than ten days no sign of delivering the payment of 1.1billion ringgit by MOF and geely 471milion ringgit. Supposed to be ten days from the date of egm on 30th August. Possible to be cancelled.

Can never rely on MOF informations and it can turn 360 degree overnight .......cos mof is under the control of the most inefficient culprit's.........mudah sudah lupa with regards to the payments of 1.1billion. mof can't even settled the overdue interest to Abu Dhabi timely

budakbaru, you can try menang-wb, bursa had approved menang bonus 4 for 5 on 13.9.17, the wd slso entitle bonus 4 for 5 too, and the exercise price will be adjusted to 56c. the circular and notice of EGM will be dispatch in 1 week's time . the new shares issue will take about 2 months

Looks like fake uptrend while closing ....... meaning to say some who bought alot earlier might sacrifice to force up the stock at the last moment....... but do consider the VOLUME and number of shares transacted at the last moment while closing 1.64 . Sometimes maybe l can go wrong...... just my 2 cents . Wait for 2morrow to conclude there's continuous follow up buying to support the share price if with good news or pending announcement .

Good news for PROTON......... CEO change, all the past CEO'S had a rope tied round their balls. They could not do what they thought was proper. Hopefully the new CEO is an experienced chap, with a mind of his own, only to grow and make profits for shareholders.

I don't see it at RM2.30 by end of September. I believe this is a longer journey. Proton turn-around won't happen overnight. The good news is, once everything has been finalised, with the issuance of Proton shares to Geely, the RM800+ million losses at Proton will be shared with Geely taking 49.9% of the losses. We will probably only see this next quarter or latest the following quarter. This will put DRB Group at about the break-even position. Than with Muamalat, POS, DEFTECH etc. we will see a turn-around to profitability and an increase in dividend payments. My time-frame is another 9 to 15 months to see it raising by a minimum of 50% from the current levels with the possibility of doubling up in 24 months.

My dividend adjusted chart is showing resistance at RM1.67 and the next major resistance is RM1.76. Let's see it break these 2 resistance first and than will fly. And North Korea doesn't start a war at the Korean Peninsula!!! Hahaha
