Unfortunately they know best on structural matters such as governance structure, remuneration committee, risk management, and of course the coming subreg body etc. Enforcement on listed firms and bod, management , professional institutions, insider trading cases, just be patient.

Believe bursa will follow few other countries to halt short selling as copy cat is the easiest approach to implement. As for this, TP revised from below 5 to around 3.50 amidst current conditions.

US chief looks like more concern on stock market slum than virus. If market was not affected, most likely no actions to address virus. May be that is a norm of many countries or authorities. Prevention is always not important.

Most of Bursa's trades are done on PC keyboards ... n does not need physical presence. Panic selling .. has contributed to a large volume required by Bursa to profit. Also panic buying by short traders. Which business is like this ?

Unfortunately authority thought with remuneration committee, that structure can serve as check and balance but ended up all sharing more despite non performance.

As for stimulus package, hopefully it only go to people and companies who really deserved it instead of enblock basis.

Gov also should review for eg if pnb (eg only as there are statutory bodies management also the same) management serves as a bod member of listed company or GLC, whether it is appropriate for them to receive director fees etc which leads to multiple stream of remuneration (if any) for individuals but they actually act under the capacity of pnb, etc.

Without comprehensive and integrated data, it is extremely difficult to ensure $ is only flows to those qualified and in urgent need. Tough! Susah!

As the King, Queen also forgo royal emoluments for six months, gov should consider to deduct those highly paid officials in gov, stat bodies, GLCs for eg those drawing 20k a month, excessive retirement benefits in addition to epf or pension as the country is facing unprecedented challenges.

I have said EPF always buy at the lowest. It is no brainer that volatility enable Bursa to gain. The sudden sell-off and panic buys feeds this volatility. This will happen again n again in the months ahead. The beauty is Bursa does not require physical presence -all are key board warriors.
However, Bursa is a long term buy.

The Federal Reserve said Tuesday it would launch a temporary lending facility that for the first time will allow foreign central banks to convert their holdings of Treasury securities into dollars, its latest bid to alleviate strains in global markets.


The program is designed to alleviate stresses in currency markets that had prompted more foreign central banks to sell their holdings of Treasurys. The Fed has been aggressively purchasing Treasury and mortgage securities to reduce market strains, and the latest move could reduce the supply of those securities hitting the market if foreign central banks can more easily exchange them for dollars.

Give 25% discount but want 100%. Give 1 month benefits (eg) but want 6 months, etc. Perhaps should ask owners of all companies who asked or applied for benefits should declare assets owned by them and also publish benefits receivers in authority websites.
