bursa will make a lot from the trading velocity 1Q and probably 2Q this year... Plus the high dividend payout ratio, this will be a safe decent bet...

When casinos are opened, we do not realise Bursa is in fact a legal casino. EPF, ASM, insurance companies, funds... all go into this casino to make money for you. It does not require physical presence at all. It only needs volume, volatility ... to make money. In the coming days or weeks or months, there will be lots of panic selling n panic buying to fuel the volatility needed for Bursa.

“Under current market conditions, as the capital market regulator, must and will ensure that the markets operate in a fair and orderly manner, and that investor protection is upheld, ” don't know who believe it as we are good in talking but poor in doing / working.
Poor disclosure regime, inefficient actions on insider trading, ..... let continues.

MELBOURNE/SINGAPORE: Oil prices rose on Thursday on expectations the world's largest oil producers would agree to cut production at a meeting later in the day as the industry grapples with a coronavirus-driven collapse in global oil demand.

Brent crude futures rose 1.2%, or 41 cents, to $33.25 a barrel as of 0529 GMT. The contract rose to an intra-day high of $33.90, climbing for a second day.

Grants are preferable for vulnerable SMEs than loans - ISIS analyst..... hahaha, easy to talk because $ is not from its pocket and is from future generations since government debts is rising. If they made profit, $ goes to whose pocket? If business without risk, I wanna to run business too.
Believe some of them may be hit by the market too, that shouldn't be borned by the rakyat. All grants or subsidies must be applied instead of auto given amidst of poor data maintenance.

Economy may be the worst after financial crisis but bursa remains reasonably strong. That shows many rich or have not been burned badly. Good.... but gov gives away most likely at historical high. Poorer next gen?

Shares buy back on the rise. Whether authority checks possible abuses by insiders who disposed of their shares as they may not able to sell at a better price in the market if company didn't buy it?

Lindsay Graham: ‘We Ought To Sanction The Hell Out Of China’

“Cancelling debt is something we could do. You know China is the largest state sponsor of pandemics in the world. Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism. We sanctioned the hell out of Iran for spreading terrorism — we ought to sanction the hell out of China for spreading pandemics.”

“I would like to put sanctions on China not just for the United States, but for the entire world. This is the third pandemic to come out of China. Enough is enough. Bring the supply chain back? Yeah that’s a no brainer. Lets bring it back into this country by using carrots and sticks by telling businesses: if you relocate your supply chain we will give you a tax break. If you don’t we’re going to punish you.”

bursa trading participation has been high this few weeks. The daily transaction value is about RM6B. Before covid, or even last year, it use to be Rm2-Rm3 billion. Part of bursa revenue is from commission. With the high participation, it might perform better than last Q......

Shocking is the local retail participation can match the local institution. Damm....our local investors are damm wealthy. Or is it becoz genting, magnum, kuda, Toto all closed, no place to punt....

Even authorities themselves failed to ensure professionalism and still argue on the appointment and termination, one will know how best listed companies govern themselves.

really gila 1.....so few consecutive market days, the trading volume is 5.5B to 6B. Bull market also never seen such volume. really underestimated local retail investor. I think they are really loaded. Can match foreign disposal and in fact whack whatever has been thrown. Rakuten and kenanga reported that they have never seen such a volume even during bull market.......really eye opener

Now all the gamblers have to switch to Bursa for betting as Genting casino and Magnum 4D are all closed for business! The only exception is Bursa not affected by covid-19.
