epf knew the current price is almost near to current value. There is not much upside but downside could be huge. There might be another 5% upside but 40% downside. epf has plenty of top analyst working for them. So do you think epf is smarter or you are smarter?

you are betting for it to reach rm9 which could earn you 0.50 but the risk is it could drop back to RM6 which is just 2 months ago. Your risk to reward is hoping to gain 0.50 but willing to lose 2.50. That is not a very good business proposition in anyway you look at it.

In 2019 - IPO and Issuer services only contribute 11% to total Bursa revenue.
Do you know how much equity trading contribute? 50% of total revenue. Do you know how much equity trading increase compare to last Q? Do the math and you will get some idea on why HLB is bullish on bursa.

Everyone have their own math, jst regarding who will get the closest math on the forecast then he reserve wat he pay for. I don't think the trading volume will go down and back to same trading level like before covid-19. Bursa most value properties are new user, as long as they have the acc active, they will continue trade. OPR getting lower and lower, majority of ppl nt willing to put their money in the bank and come to invest in bursa. Nevertheless, economy will recover and FF will come back one day. This will be another ADV support.

Ahh...mr. Brown have some foresight on bursa. Bursa revenue came from 8 segment. 1.Securities trading 2.Derivative trading 3.BSAS Trading 4.Listing & Issuer Services 5.Depository Services 6.Market Data 7.Member services and connectivity & 8.conference.

Item 6&7 are consider almost constant every quarter
Item 1,3 & 5 - expected to increase
item 2 - expected to drop
Item 4- zero income
Item 8 - negligible amount

The % of each segment is different. Item 1 contribute 50% of revenue.

Thx for info, Titan. This QR is for Q2 but current share price is running at Q3. Q2 is a reference which may used to support your calculations. So it is important for next quarter prediction. We may also would like to see there r special dividend or not and most importantly is prospect of bursa. Let's wait for it.

Zhuge_Lin, I think you don't see or haven't done your due diligence. It's ok to disagree, but there's no need to repeat yourself so many times. What are you trying to say? If you don't think bursa is worth investing in, why are you wasting your time here?

At least elaborate why you think we stand to lose 2.50? Otherwise all you're doing is throwing useless words without basis. Both Titan and I have given very good arguments why we think Bursa will perform very well. With a fair PE of 25, Bursa going above RM 10 not a crazy idea. In fact, I think Bursa can go to RM 12, but let's see the next quarter results first before I revise my calculations again.

The current price is already reflecting the 2Q & also 3Q good results. You all are looking at the transaction volume to predict the bullishness of this counter but what is the underlying reason for it to be so bullish? It is all because of glove counter. Do you think glove counter trading volume will continue to remain high? Once glove counter madness cool down, bursa trading volume will be like a dead fish.

Zhuge, that is incorrect. The highest volumes are not from glove counters. For your benefit, please check bursa malaysia website, under securities, and then key indicators. you will understand better what I mean.

volume not really matters, value traded is the key for clearing fees revenue, projected 85mil for securities clearing fees revenue next quarter.

2019CQ2 = ADV:RM2.02bil
2020CQ2 = ADV:RM3.76bil.

2019CQ3 = ADV:RM1.86bil
2019(Jul01-15) = ADV:RM1.98bil
2020(Jul01-15) = ADV:RM5.00bil.

Bursa revenue always at a level of 0.85% - 0.95% ratio from total transacted value in that particular quarter.

So 2020CQ2 total val = RM220bil. Then est Rev=RM190mil at 0.86 ratio...

mb can do some own judgement from here....
