While its always good to buy cheap for an excellent blue chip, don't target it too low or you will miss the boat. Don't be like those who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing. Nobody knows where or when is the bottom. Trick is to know the valuation and to invest slowly and consistently. Nowadays brokerage is so low and can just slowly buy 100 or 200 units at a time, no need 1000 units or more at one go if lack of funds.

wow, value traded today is more than RM7.3 bil. going to report fantastic profit and div again this year. if total lockdown even better just like last year. only casino open and full time occupation is punting stocks. either way Bursa untung. whether is playing gloves, penny, healthcare or blue chips.

Up-to-quarter ADVT from my own calculation is around 4 bil. More than 2Q2020 which was 3.758. If this month's ADVT maintains or increases, no doubt the YOY earning will be better. Hopefully, the dividend will be better also. 2Q 2020 paid 17 sen dividend.

From theedgemarkets 2019 : KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 28): Bursa Malaysia Bhd said today it had disposed of an additional 100,854 shares of Nasdaq-listed CME Group Inc for US$20.57 million or RM85.88 million on the open market.
According to Bursa Malaysia, its original cost of investment for the disposed CME Group shares on Nov 30, 2009 was US$6.62 million or US$65.65 a share.

Interested to see how this +/- RM45million one-off gain will reflect on the next qr.

1. Trading vol remained high
2. Monopolistic all cash business with little debts
3. Need very little capex
4. Govt needs the money

The last three Quarterly reports have been outstanding, however the market seems a bit undecided about the upcoming quarterly, due at the end of July.
Any drop in revenue or profit in the quarterly would be understandable, considering the 3 strong previous reports.
Can previous revenues and profits be sustained? I wish I knew the answer!!

An interesting period coming up.

Seems like a temp bottom has been reached. Reluctant to go below RM8.04 while waiting to see next result and dividend. For a perspective of the price, it was also around RM8.04 on 6/1/21 and shot up to around RM9.52 on 29/1/21. Went ex div of 34 sen on 19/2/21. Value buy now before coming interim div? Don't forget the extraordinary gain fr the CME sale 2 mths ago. Another big special div? Go figure.

Is there anywhere online where we can see the weekly or monthly transactions on the Bursa?
I expect transactions to gradually increase during the last half of this year, although I'm not too sure about how this next quarterly report will look.
The toss of a coin right now if Rm8 is a good buying point. Being greedy, I'd like to see it go below Rm8. I think I'll wait to see the signs when EPF finish selling to see whether they have artificially held the price up to sell into.

The monthly transaction figures appear to confirm my thoughts that the May to June quarter will be lower than recent quarters.

I don't disagree with your comment Mr. Messi (admire your ball control, by the way :) ), however in this current very jittery market it wont be a surprise to see a knee jerk reaction to a lower revenue and profit report.

Mid term, August to December, I'm predicting an increase in market participation, so any possible lower level buying in the next 6 weeks (up to and just beyond the reporting period) might be an opportune time to accumulate.

Long term I don't have any issues with this stock but the next quarterly report might disappoint.....be nimble.

Gracias TreeTop for your compliment. Actually I can invest anywhere in the world but I like the Malaysian mkt bcos still got super blue chips with high div yield due to low pricing. So want to just test my investing skills here. Also like PGAS, PERSTIMA and PTARAS. As you can see, all fundamentally sound, cheap and high div yield.

Like your prudence in trying to buy as low as possible but don't bottom fish too low or try to time the mkt. May miss the boat. I learned fr Warren Buffett. All the best and cheers.

Maybe Bursa Management should take note of the dirty monies the 40-60 penny stock companies that scam 100,000 retail investors as highlighted in the Edgemarket report and also ask why after LHDN/MACC raid, and yet Bursa & SC dont do anything.

Penny stocks scams are every stock mkt. Look no further than in so called developed mkts like HK and Spore where they also hog daily trading activities. There is only so much regulators can or know what to do. When one is a stock exchange but is also listed at the same time, always a dilemma between regulation and shareholders' return and also between over regulation and free mkt.

At the end of the day, just stay far far away fr such stocks and focus on quality. BUYERS BEWARE.

Oops, looks attractive after quite some times did not drop by.
Despite very smart gov capable of keeping covid cases less than 10k daily, only few counters delivered excellent results. Vision of 3000 level remains as Boleh spirit is always there, but time to deliver is uncertain.
If more cases like serba dynamite, bursa performance should be improved further, supported by trading activities momentum.
