Referring to the article published by The Edge Markets dated 4 September 2020 which reported that Comfort Gloves’ majority shareholder sells off stake.

The Company wishes to clarify that the disposal of shares by Lau Joo Kien Brian (the son of Dato’ Lau Eng Guang) in Keen Setup Sdn. Bhd. is to his immediate family member (herein refer to internal restructuring of Keen Setup Sdn. Bhd.).

After the internal restructuring of Keen Setup Sdn. Bhd., Lau Joo Kien Brian's controlling interest in Keen Setup Sdn. Bhd. had dropped below 20% hence he ceased to have deemed interest through Keen Setup Sdn. Bhd. pursuant to Section 8(4) of the Companies Act 2016, and thus, ceased as a substantial shareholder of the Company.

In conclusion, Keen Setup Sdn. Bhd. is still controlled by the Lau’s family and their controlling interest in COMFORT via Keen Setup Sdn. Bhd. remained unchanged.

This announcement is dated 4 September 2020.

A 15% increase in ASP could double their profits. Assume that’s the case. That’ll be 5.6 EPS

Assume they do the same for the next 4 quarters
5.6 x 4 = 22.4

Assume 20 PE
22.4 x 20 = RM4.48.

Regardless of whatever is happening in the shareholding, this is its potential.

The current price is not overinflated at all. Are there other glove stocks with greater potential? Of course. Is this a bad stock to hold? Or course not.

If they raised their ASP by 30%, the earnings would be significantly more.

The current malaise in the market is affecting all stocks, not only gloves. Once sentiments get better, hopefully we see all glove counters recover strongly.

Just my opinion.

After I sold almost all my glove stocks, I cannot find any stocks besides glove stocks that have profit growth prospect which is the most powerful catalyst to push up share prices. The pandemic has been affecting everybody and all the listed companies with the exception of medical gloves and medical products for the virus prevention.

I believe the glove stock play is not over yet. All the glove makers should be reporting increasing profit in the next few quarters. Smart investors can still make money. I am waiting for the glove stock prices to rebound. By Koon Yew yin

Lim Kok Thye also sold his business, and he sold Zouk to his son... It makes me wonder was it because he wants his son to party with Paris Hilton like Jho Lo, or anything else ridiculous?
